Gareth Pugh For MAC - OMG!!!

As well as the Holiday collections this time of year also means something else to us make up junkies, the release of the MAC couture collections. Always in limited edition packaging these collections always seem to wow, and this years is no different. Although my MAC love has faded a bit this year, I have to say that this years collaboration with fashion designer Gareth Pugh definitely catches the eye

The collection includes lip products, Metal X Cream Shadows, a Beauty Powder, pigments, brushes, a make up bag and more in sleek, geometric black packaging. Amazing but the real stars of the collection for me are the nail polishes

As well as the amazing packaging how amazing does the colour in the middle look! Described as a grey with blue violet reflective pearl, Ascension sounds amazing, as does the colour on the far left Hyper, described as a deep blue with a violet pearl. I am hoping Hyper will be similar to one of the colours in the Models Own Beetlejuice collection, because the one downside to these collections is the price. I only own one previous item from one of these collections, one of the lipsticks from Baroque Boudoir, and that was a lot more than a normal MAC lipstick. Never mind due to be released in the UK in December or January I might be able to sneak Ascension onto my Christmas list. What do you think of this collaboration?

  1. the packaging is similar to the marcel wanders collection, nothing that imitates the generic mac product shape, i bet the prices are going to be increased the same way they did for the marcel wanders collection

  2. I really want the blackened purple lipstick, but I just bought the purple Rimmel Kate one :(

I love hearing what you have to say so leave me a comment and let me know your thought x My comments are moderated at the moment but that means that I read every single one of them so don't be shy, have your say x
