Blog Sale Haul + An Update

Afternoon peoples - I meant to do a few posts over the weekend but alas an evil bug has come to get me :( - My mum hasn't been very well for a week or so and last night her nasty bug struck me I spent and hour or so with my head down the toilet bowl and today I am curled up on the sofa with a blanket, drinks , and a bowl within easy reach feeling like death warmed up - argh!!! I have felt like this before a few months ago and we all know what I had then but fingers crossed its just a nasty bog standard virus - yuck!
Anyways if there is one thing guaranteed to cheer me up it's goodies :) Over the weekend I was lucky enough to receive a parcel of goodies which I got from the lovely Cosmetic Candy's blog sale :) As well as the goodies I got she was also kind enough to enclose some lovely samples and sweeties, and one of her lovely pin badges :)
First of all I got some super cute Hello Kitty hair bobbles :)
Photobucket
I also got some Laura Geller Mattifying Powder which I have wanted to try for ages
Photobucket
and some Smashbox Waterproof Shadow Liner Sealer
Photobucket
I can't wait to have a proper play with this when I am feeling better - Huge thanks Rowena x

Despite the postal strike I've got a few parcels through this week including two from ASOS :)

First of all I picked up a few winter clothes essentials (all these pics are from ASOS )

Photobucket

not for winter but this super cute old fashioned style telephone pendant - ASOS do some super cute necklaces

I also picked up a few beauty bits now there is a surprise

This lippy from Paul and Joe in RPM :) which has been on my wishlist for a while - look at the imprint and the packaging soooo cute

I also picked up another few bits from ASOS which I've photographed - spot the difference - lol

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark

and an Body America Mango Peach Body Butter which came with a free lip butter :)
Photobucket

I also got a parcel from La Redoute this week containing this gorgeous silver waterfall cardi - great for the festive season
Photobucket

A huge plus point for me this week was a vist to my local Asda Hypermarket - why was this so exciting - well my local Asda doesn't stock the George cosmetics range and this one does :)
I have read quite a bit about their nail varnishes and when I got to the store they were on special offer at only £1 each so I picked a few up :)
No. 36 Smog
Photobucket
No 15 Midnight Black
Photobucket
No 22 Ultra Violet
Photobucket
No 26 Mocha Ice
Photobucket
I will definitely do a review on these at some point - they are such a bargain at only £1.50which is the normal price
I also had a little look at the rest of their make up range and picked up a Velvet Eyeshadow in No4 Combat and boy am I glad I did. In NYX style packaging this eyeshadow is super gorgeous - a gorgous olive greeny / gold - very like MAC Sumptuous Olive - The texture is gorgeous and its so pigmented - love it :)

Any questions give me a yell and I'll try and do some reviews of the Marian Newman and George nail bits in the next week or so xx

QVC, and Cocktail Cosmetics Hauling

I had such a crappy weekend and really needed cheering up so I placed a few little orders :)
First of all I placed an order with cocktail cosmetics. They already had a couple of bits from the MAC Holiday Collections so I got Phiff Dazzleglass
Photobucket
It looks a gorgeous peach / nude with loads of glitter but like a lot of Dazzleglasses it isn't that pigmented all you really get is the glitter
Photobucket

I also picked up a few NYX bits - a lipgloss in 24 Cafe Latte
Photobucket
and an eyeshadow single in 104 Star
Photobucket
Photobucket

I also picked a Barry M Dazzle Dust in 91 Black Silver

Photobucket

and in much need of serious pampering I also ordered some gorgeous Elemis bath and body products from QVC - and relax.....

2true Glitter Mascara Review

Photobucket

Apologies for the delay I meant to do a few posts over the weekend but I felt soooo rough I never got a thing done. Anyways I am still working my way through the mountain of 2True products I was sent a month or so ago. I must admit when I review a product I don't just use it once or twice I use it quite a few times to get a real feel as to whether or not I can recommend it and this product was no exception. One of the items I was sent in my package was the 2true Glitter Mascara in No 1 (Silver). I must admit this isn't an ever day product but its great for night out or for over the festive season. It's name probably says it all Glitter Mascara - it is a clear mascara base which is crammed full of fine silver glitter particles
Photobucket
2true say you can use it on its own (like I did) or over an existing mascara, I also think it would look fabulous say on the tips of a jet black lash.
I did find I had to pile it on because the glitter particles were so fine you can't see it too well in the first picture because of the light etc. but you can see it much more clearly in the second picture
Photobucket
Photobucket
If you want a stronger glittery look there are probably thicker glittered mascaras out there but the fine glitter makes it non irritating and not too bad to remove, although there was a little bit of fallout which I suppose can be expected. All in all a cheap product for the party season to give your eyes a bit of sparkle for only £1.91 from Superdrug stores
