Happiness Is...

I have had a really stressed week and a bit what with one thing and another but some things have still made me happy so I thought I'd share them with you

Fresh and Seasonal Fruit and Vegetables - A bit of an odd one to start with but this week I have really been enjoying some gorgeous fresh fruit and veg. Unusually for a snackaholic like me in the past week I have turned to juicy English strawberries and blueberries, and fresh pea pods to stem my hunger pangs and do you know what I have thoroughly enjoyed them - nice fresh fruit and raw veg is the way to go

Weight Loss
- It might not sound a lot but over the last two weeks I have managed to lose 3lbs this is really good for me considering I have been so stressed out and when I am stressed I eat so the fact that I am still making progress is a huge plus point for me and a huge motivation to keep going

The Body Shop MTV Yes Yes Yes Tantalising Lip Butter - To be honest when I got this a few weeks ago I didn't really need it but now I am so glad I picked one up - It tastes amazing which is supposed to be down to the dragon fruit extract - I don't know what a dragon fruit tastes like but this has an amazing tropical passion fruit or mango type taste and it's moisturising without being sticky or too greasy - A huge thumbs up for me I am only hoping it isn't a limited addition. Even better than that though all the proceeds from this product go towards raising funds for AIDS and HIV awareness - Read More Here

MAC Brave New Bronze Lipstick - Need I say more about this fabulous lipstick from the MAC Style Warrior collection - I absolutely heart it - I am obviously not the only one since it has already sold out on the MAC UK website. If I can get to a store before they disappear completely I am definitely buying a back up spending ban or no spending ban

Tilquhillie Pure Oat Muesli With Cranberry
- As you may know I am Coeliac I can't eat wheat or gluten containing products. Up until recently the only gluten free muesli you could get contained all sorts of bits like millet flakes and so on and to be quite honest it tasted like bird seed not very nice at all. Then I stumbled on this product containing clean oats. The majority of cereals tend to be mixed up so even some oats can trigger an allergic reaction thankfully these oats have been tested to Coeliac UK's standard as being pure and are therefore safe for the majority of people with gluten allergies to eat. Yum proper muesli at long last :)

ME ME ME Poppy Tint - I bought this product from Superdrug a few months ago and haven't really touched it until this week. It's basically a pretty good dupe for Benfits Posie Tint i.e. a lovely bright barbie pink lip and cheek stain. To be honest it scared me a bit as it looks a little bit bright but I tried it this week and I am so impressed. It actually goes on quite sheer and looks especially good on the lips when blotted down a bit with some clear or pink toned gloss over the top - another drugstore winner :) (sorry for the crappy picture).

My Mum Being Out Of Hospital After a ridiculously stressful few days involving casualty, ambulances and occupational therapists my mum is home recuperating again. I was so stressed at the beginning of last week but I am at last starting to calm down and feel secure again

My Family and My Friends - Its always at stressful times when you find out who really will be there for you and I certainly found that out this time. My best friend Dawn is exactly that - 2 and half hour phone calls and lifts to the hospital she is a real star and I am so lucky I know her. Several family members also came up trumps and really helped me out x

You Lot - Huge thanks to all my new and existing followers I really appreciate your support - Also huge thanks for producing such fabulous blogs, tweets and you tube vids which have really helped me relax in a tough week - Thanks peeps x

ME and Make Up

I woke up this morning feeling yuck - ME symptoms back and full on with a vengeance -yuck, yuck, yuck - I feel like I've been hit be a bus and been denied sleep for a week :( Reluctantly I have had to cancel my trip to the Newcastle V Portsmouth game tonight (sorry Dawn) in the hope that I can regain a bit of energy for the hairdressers tomorrow (believe me even a trip to the hairdressers requires more energy than I have at the moment!) Instead of the match I see an afternoon and evening tucked up under my quilt with some chick lit and Ugly Betty DVDs
Never mind on the plus side my mum has ordered me a make up kit in Luscious Greens from By Lauren Luke for my birthday :) http://www.bylaurenluke.com/ . For those of you who don't know Lauren became famous for doing make up tutorials on you tube under the name Panacea81 http://www.youtube.com/panacea81?gl=GB&hl=en-GB- I think she's great - a normal, natural girl with a great talent and a fellow North East girl to boot - good luck Lauren :)

A Major Catch Up!

I am a bad girl for forgetting to update this but things have been a bit crappy!

I have had the earache from hell for a fortnight and was in absolutely agony - so much so I was on the verge of shoving my head through a plate glass window!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thankfully I got some antibiotics and it is starting to feel normal again!

The suspected upturn in Newcastle Uniteds fortunes under KK hasn't happened yet ! No major tranfer window signings, and we are still yet to win a game - oh well another season of pointlessness and disappointment!

Things have lifted slightly in the last few days though - I managed to go shopping for the first time since Christmas and had a fab Primark spree which really lifted my spirits! and the annual diet starts today - I can't believe I have put so much weight on in just a few months!

Oh another thing Happy Belated Birthday to my friend Susan and thanks to Dawn for the Hello Kitty Fridge Magnets :)

Ears, Photos, Nasty Letters and Hummus !!!!

I don't think I ever have a week which doesn't involve some sort of drama.

All my plans for last week pretty much disappeared. I felt yucky pretty much all week... By Saturday I felt bleurghhhhhhh forcing me to cancel my opticians appointment and to cancel my trip to the Newcastle / Wigan game (Sorry Again Dawn!) Typical the game in the game I miss Newcastle win their first home game since February! (Which reminds me good luck at West Ham Nobby we will miss you x)

Anyways I had a doctors appointment for today anyways and it only turns out I have an ear infection!!!!!!! Cue the nice pic of me with cotton wool and ear drops in which I have decided to treat you all too - fan bleedin tastic!!

It always seems to be the way when your feeling yucky things go wrong and you end up having to rush round and do things you never expected too and this week has been no different. My new passport photos were rejected because I was wearing glasses!!!! so I had to shell out £3.50 to get another set done - fingers crossed my new set are OK - I am rapidly running out of time!!!! Then today I got a rubbishy letter from the bank cue more running around and stress! Least said about this the better really but its all sorted now!!!

On a positive note I got some super dooper Yankee candles this week, in Jasmine, Baby Powder, Sheer Gardenia, and Pineapple Citrus - I love my smelly candles! Also made some lovely hummus today too which is yummy so very pleased about that! I also found out that my mate Helen (of Prospero the bear fame) is definitely coming up this month so that is something to look forward too!

Plans for the rest of the week plenty of rest, card making and making my mums birthday meal on Friday :) - I am also taking the kitties for their injections, planning on doing some ebay listing, some blogging and maybe a bit of light yoga, hmmm - I think though I will take each day as it comes my life never seems to go as planned

Diplomas, Holiday Shopping, Diets and Housework!

I have came to the ultimate conclusion that ME sucks!
I have managed to do a little bit of holiday clothes shopping in the last week or so but by god am I paying for it now. We went on thursday morning and now on Saturday I am still completely shattered - I feel like I have been bleedin kicked! I am now trying to do some essential tidying whilst sitting in an office chair!!!!
At least the diet is going well another half a stone and I will be bikini ready! Only problem is my favourite jeans are now to loose - you win some you lose some LOL !
Another positive is that I have passed my psychology diploma - at long last I got my final grade and it was yet another A! I am really chuffed despite my MSc and stuff I was never an A grade student but I have proven to myself that despite my ME I can still achieve something! Wahoo for me! Thanks too to Dawn for the homemade congratulations card !
Talking of homemade I have also just finished my New York holiday scrapbook - I am reallly pleased with it - it is a great reminder of a great holiday experience! I will try and put a few pics on when I get a moment so you can all have a look at my hard work!
Plans for the week to come not a lot - attempting more tidying, maybe making a few cards for my mums birthday, chilling and having a good rest! If I wasn't in pain life wouldn't be bad! LOL!

Not Much Doing!

I haven't posted for a while for the pure and simple reason I haven't done anything worth mentioning. A bit of tidying, a bit of scrapbooking and loads of rest doesn't really constitute anything interesting for you to read about!
I did have a much needed day out with my bestie Dawn the other day we did an ickle bit of shopping and we went to see Hairspray. I quite enjoyed it actually - a real feel good film and fab hair! - I am still not convinced though that John Travolta makes a good woman but I suppose that's the point! LOL!
I have had a bit of a whinge in the last few weeks. The customer service at so many companies is absolutely shocking at the moment - I still haven't got my psychology grade and I am still waiting for a refund from Dorothy Perkins after nearly two months - grrr!
Diet still going OK I have now lost over a stone but I seem to have hit a bit of a plateau so any tips appreciated that don't involve exercise (stupid ME!)
I am also having Internet problems at the moment it is so slow!!!! and it keeps disconnecting - triple grr!
Other than that not bad at the mo - doctors next week which is always something to look forward too!
