Hi my loves - sorry this post is a lttle later than I planned but I felt so awful yesterday after my shopping trip that I really had trouble stringing a sentence together, pain is an awful thing :( Anyway I feel a bit better today, precisely no activity, lots of rest, and plenty of painkillers has brought me back to some semblance of reality. Anyways on with the show - on Thursday me and Mummy Lou popped to the Metro Centre it was just for a little look and really for me to use my birthday vouchers up - I don't know about you but I hate having vouchers floating around I need to spend them asap! So with a gift card in my possession we headed through the hallowed doors of Primark ;) I could have bought quite a few bits but I was good and focused on just using my voucher - first up I got this petrol blue dress
made of a chiffon type fabric, it features an attached vest on the top half and buttons which go as far as the waist, and it also features a tan plaited belt
I also popped a couple of rings into my basket - first up this turquoise effect stone in a large silver toned filigree setting
and this turquoise effect stone in a gold tone setting
I also picked some more of my favourite hair bobbles, this time in the brown / beige tone, they also do a bright pack too :)
That little lot came to just £20.50, just 50p more than my voucher - bargain :)
Next up Poundland and Pound World - I'm not snob you have to love a bit of pound shop hauling and I certainly did that first up two eyeshadows - the first is a Rimmel U Rock Cream Eyeshadow Trio in 700 Zest
and secondly a Me Me Me powder eyeshadow in Argent a gorgeous silver x
I also got this gorgeous purple satin flower hairband too I can't believe it was only £1!!
I also had a flick through the CD's and found a whole loads of the Now That's What I Call Music albums for just £1.00 each - it says they could potentially be reconditioned second albums but it's will worth a look, all of mine are from around 2002/3 cue lots of reminiscing lol
So that was my pound shop haul £6 for lots of goodies :) If you've managed to pick up a copy of this months Instyle magazine you'll know that there is a free £5.00 Body Shop gift card enclosed - well I spent mine on Thursday purchasing the detangling mist to go with the shampoo I reviewed from the Rainforest range -I've only managed to try it once but it smells gorgeous and so fruity
I only needed to pay £1 extra so another bargain :) Next up something that was technically free, well not really but it felt as though it was - a little while ago I placed a little New Look order and in the order I got a pair of earrings, but the minute I picked them up one fell to pieces so I complained via email and was told the best and cheapest way was to return them in store, so that's what I did - I love these so much I have a few pairs of similar ones but I love the daisy design
Next up something from Superdrug that my lovely Mummy bought me :) The Sleek Oh So Special Palette
I was under the impression that this wasn't going to be available in the UK but a few eagle eyed ladies have managed to spot it and I picked up the last one
It's a proper neutral palette with a mixture of mattes and shimmers - some swatches for you x
I am so happy to get this one I have fallen back in love with my Sleek palettes again they are soooo pigmented even if the price has gone up a little x
Finally a little parcel also from Superdrug and yes it's also on the budget theme - I got 2 eyeshadow palettes from the MUA Professional range, each featuring 12 eye shades. I got Heaven and Earth - the browns and neutrals
and Starry Night which features purples, lilacs, greys and silvers
I am going to feature these palettes in my upcoming MUA post in my Budget Beauty Series, so keep checking back for a review and some swatches x
So that was my little lot - any questions please let me know xx

Me Me Me Blush Box / Benefit Comparison
As you know yesterday I got some of the MeMeMe Blush Me Boxes, obviously these blushes are going to be compared to ones Benefit, the packaging seems similar as do some of the shades. The obvious comparisons will come with the bronzer and the coral blushers but I only have pink ones by Benefit so I thought I'd do a bit of a comparison for you. The Benefit ones I have are Thrrrob, and my mum owns Dandelion.
First of all the packaging

well the packaging is certainly similar - the cardboard boxes and the little brushes, the Benefit boxes are ever so slightly smaller but you do get more product 11g compared to 8g in the MeMeMe

On to colours well I have to say that from the pan they all look quite different, Dandelion certainly has a more neutral tone to it, but when they are swatched I have to say in real life Thrrrob and the MeMeMe Pink are very similar indeed. The MeMeMe is probably slightly more pigmented and less chalky than either of the Benfit ones.

You pays your money you takes you choice I guess but at less than £7 for the MeMeMe ones and around £23.50 for the Benefit ones I know which I prefer x Any questions give me a yell xx

Benefit Inspired Blushers By Me Me Me
I recently read a post by the lovely Lollipop26 (Congrats on the Cosmo award Laura ;)on the new Blush Me Blush Boxes by Me Me Me. Intrigued or enabled as per usual, I placed a little order direct with Me Me Me for a couple of the blushers

Inspired by or borrowing heavily from Benefit ;) , they come in the same style of cardboard box with the same shorty stubby square brush. The two Colours I picked up were Coral - a lovely corally, peach tone

and Pink - a lovely, baby pink shade which is actually a little brighter than it appears here

I have to say I am really impressed by these they are very pigmented and super soft. As well as the Pink and Coral there are two other colours Bronze and Rouge. As per usual like all Me Me Me products they will probably be available in Superdrug, but I got mine from the Me Me Me website where they are currently on a special introductory price of £6.49 each - I thoroughly recommend ordering from the site - they took less than 3 days to come :) Any questions please ask xx

Weeks Beauty Haulage
I know I promised you this last night but I spent most of last night crying in pain. Carving my pumpkins and having a few days out had obviously been far too much for my poor muscles and last night my shoulders and arms gave up entirely. A huge whack of Arnica gel one of my hero products) and a vat of painkillers and I eventually managed some sleep. It isn't as bad this afternoon but I am going to take it easy and have a nice bath later. I am really fed up with my ME at the moment -there are so many things I want to do but I just run out of steam, and the things to do list gets longer and longer :(
Anyways on too much happier things I promised you a post on some of the beauty things I got this week :)
My first port of call on Thursday was Superdrug - I went purposely to get my hands on the new Sleek palettes

Sunset, Graphite and Acid :) Very pleased with all of these :)
I also picked up one of the new GOSH Smokey Eye Palettes

and a ME ME ME Colourama Long Lasting Cream Eyeshadow in No 1 Molten Brown and the other colour of the Jemma Kidd lipgloss free with Bodyform

On Friday I went to Boots:)
I had one of the £5 Ruby and Millie /No7 vouchers so I bought one of the No7 new concealer palettes

and I also picked up 3 bits from the Natural Collection make up collection which was on 3 for £5

From L-R - Lipstick in Candy Mist, Lipgloss in Raspberry Ripple, Lipstick in Apple Blossom.
I spent so much I qualified for another voucher - eek I think I may put it towards some Ruby + Millie brushes if I can get in to town before 8th November - hmm
Anyways onto the big discovery of the week in New Look of all places - Barbie make up! I noticed this on the shelves of Christmas gifts - it was pretty reasonable so I picked up a few bits
Smoky Eye Palette (I have bought a lot of these this week lol)

These are surprisingly pigmented for about £3-4
I also picked up the Rosy Glow blusher - how cute is this !

Definitely check this stuff out if you can get to New Look :)
I also got a parcel through from HQ Hair containing NARS eyeshadow duo in Cleo

I also ordered the Sheer Glow foundation but it was out of stock so I am counting down the days till it arrives x
ETA - I also got some China Glaze Nail Polish in Avalanche from US ebay - its gorgeous
