Trimming My Stash - July Edition - Empties And Mini Reviews

It was a close call this month, but for a few days I thought I was going to have my worst month of the year but I pulled it back on the last day of the month by finding a bottle with a minuscule amount of product in - result. So my consistent performance continued into July.

Aquolina Peach And Apricot Bath Shower - 250ml
Laura Geller Mascara - Black - 9g
John Frieda Frizz-Ease 3 Day Straight - 100ml
Amie Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask - 10ml
Elemis Skin Nourishing Shower Cream - 300ml
Philosophy Sweet Creamy Frosting Shampoo, Shower Gel and Bubble Bath - 118.3ml
Biotherm Sun Fitness After Sun Sparkle Cream - 200ml
Green People Sun Lotion SPF 15 - 20ml
Primark Beauty Oil Balancing Cleansing Wipes With Tea Tree - 25 Wipes
L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection 3 In 1 Purifying Micellar Solution - 200ml
Total - 10 Items

Yup I finished 10 items yet again. The things that I used at least partly reflected the amazing weather that we have throughout July, lots of bath, shower, sun things and skincare. I also managed to finish one make up item this month which I was super pleased about.

1. Aquolina Peach And Apricot Bath Shower - 250ml

I love this product, if you were to take a fresh peach and an apricot and chop them up, then that's exactly what this smells like. It has a really fresh smell that doesn't smell synthetic in the slightest. Aquolina is an Italian brand that I used to buy from HQ Hair, unfortunately they don't seem to sell it any more and I can't seem to find it anywhere else, if I could I would definitely repurchase x

2. Laura Geller Mascara - Black - 9g

Not really much to say about this other than it did the job. It gave quite a natural looking lash, the formula wasn't overtly wet so it seemed to dry out quite quickly. Not bad but I probably wouldn't repurchase.

3. John Frieda Frizz-Ease 3 Day Straight  -100ml

This is my second bottle of this but to be honest it leaves me feeling a bit mehhh. I personally don't think it works as well as it claims to. It helps keep the frizz down but there is no way my hair stays straight for the 3 days, so I don't think I will repurchase this again.

4. Amie Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask - 10ml

I've had a couple of sachets of the mask from various beauty boxes and events and I have to say I love it. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, and it helps clear blemishes. I also love the lime based smell and the fact that it feelings really cool in the skin, a real bonus in this warm weather. I'm definitely considering purchasing the full size x

5. Elemis Skin Nourishing Shower Cream - 300ml

Love, love, love this product. I smells exactly like the Skin Nourishing Milk Bath which is another favourite of mine. It smells soft, creamy and almost powdery. It's a lovely comforting smell and it's very moisturising. Only problem with this is the price - I usually get some Elemis for Christmas so this or the milk bath would be great x Thanks Santa ;)

6. Philosophy Sweet Creamy Frosting Shampoo, Shower Gel and Bubble Bath - 118.3ml

Another Christmas gift -  I love Philosophy but again it's price prohibitive especially when their are some much cheaper "dupes" on the market. This was a really nice product though, which smelled of vanilla butter cream,, you would think that this would be sickly but it wasn't , a nice smelling and feeling product, shame about the price.

Biotherm Sun Fitness After Sun Sparkle Cream - 200ml

Yeah, a sun product :) I've spent a little bit of time in the garden enjoying the sunshine over the last month and this and the next item are two things that I finished because of that. This was a bit tub of a citrus smelling after sun that contained loads and loads of sparkles to show off my tan. Whilst it felt lovely and very moisturising on the skin, I didn't find it particularly cooling which to me is surely the point of an after sun.

8. Green People Sun Lotion SPF 15 - 20ml

I've received a couple of these in beauty boxes over the last year, and I have to say it's a pretty good every day sun cream. It takes a bit of rubbing in but has a gorgeous lavender smell that more than makes up for that. It's only an SPF 15 so I did find that I needed to reapply it every 30 - 45 minutes to stop myself from burning.

9. Primark Beauty Oil Balancing Cleansing Wipes With Tea Tree - 25 Wipes

Your probably sick of seeing these on here but I've used up another packet. Admittedly  I have used these on my face quite a bit over the last month to cool my face and to mop up sweat yuck! I've also used them for cleaning up some of the kazillion make up swatches  that I've photographed lately.

10. L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection 3 In 1 Purifying Micellar Solution - 200ml

Yes, I've finished my first bottle of this already, I've predominantly been using this as an eye make up remover but to be honest I've been using this as a very cooling, lazy girls all over cleanser too. I already have another bottle of this and a quarter of that has gone already too.

Overall I'm pretty pleased with this months performance, again I've finished a nice variety of products and I'm hoping that will continue into August. I'm already nearing the end of a few make up products so hopefully I'll include a few more make up items next time round. Have you done a empties post or video lately? link me up in the comments xx
