Project 10 Pan - 8 Down :)

As predicted on twitter earlier this week I have indeed now finished item number 8 on Project 10 Pan. It was a toss up between two products over which would be the first one to be finished and the winner was the lipstick.

More precisely it was the Boots 17 Mirror Shine Lipstick in Nudist Peach - I have a few of these lipstick but this one is by far my favourite, a gorgeous glossy nudey, peach colour. I've used this several times a week since I got it and it really goes with everything, including neutrals and with a more dramatic eye. As you can see I attacked it with a lip brush to get the very last bits out :) I already own a back up of this one and I have to say I love it for under £5 it's a great budget lipstick. So that's 8 down, two to go, fingers crossed by next week I'll be 9 down I have a mascara that is so close to giving up the ghost it's untrue. I really am on the final strait now and do you know what I can't wait to be finished now :) Any questions please ask xx

Project 10 Pan - 6 and 7 Down :)

Well it's official I really am on the final few legs of Project 10 Pan over the last couple of days I have finished not one but two make up items :)

First up one that has been there or there abouts for a little while now a little 28g jar of Laura Geller Spackle Under Make Up Primer

I have to say I have loved this primer - it's not greasy or siliconey and has a lovely cool gel/cream texture - My skin really liked this primer, it made my foundation last, without feeling greasy, or heavy and it didn't any breakouts

The tub I've finished here came in a QVC TSV it normally comes in a pump action dispenser. I think this is something I will definitely repurchase when I have used up my pile of primers :)

Next up item number 7, and surprisingly enough another Laura Geller product, my third of P10P so far. A 10.50g compact of Laura Geller Invisible Oil Blotting Powder

This was a product that I had always wanted to try but I never got round to it, that was until I chanced upon one of Cosmetic Candy's spectacular blog sales. I saw and as well as several other things I snapped it up. I have to say I love it it's really is invisible it actually looks white in the compact but once you've put it on your skin you really can't see it and it totally takes the shine away.  I didn't expect to finish this as quickly as what I did but I've used it pretty much every day, on its own and over make especially on my t-zone. It's another definite repurchase from the Laura Geller brand that is exclusive to QVC in the UK, that when I have used up the rest of my face powders lol

So I only have 3 items left to finish and I am feeling super confident that I am going to do it :) Next up maybe a foundation or a lip product, and I have a mascara that's on its way out so who knows. Thanks again for all your support and I'll keep you posted x

Project 10 Pan - 5 Down and An Update x

The title of this posts says it all really this week I finished item number 5 on Project 10 Pan - I am officially half way through now :)

L'Oreal Matte Morphose Souffle Foundation in 110 Ivory Rose - 20g

Yeah I have to say I actually really like this foundation and I've already purchased a back up a few months ago when it was on offer (read my full review here). One of the few issues I had with this foundation was with the colour range, and indeed Ivory Rose wasn't the best shade for my wintry, pale super pink toned skin, but it needed using up. Like most women I usually have quite a few foundations open at once, that's pretty obvious from the fact that 3 of my first 5 products have been bases, so in order to use this one up I mixed with another mousse type product to lighten it up - voila one finished foundation :) This is the first lesson I think I've learned so far on Project 10 Pan - try not to have some many similar things open at once, apart from when your testing a product is it really necessary to have 5 foundations on the go at once erm no it's not so I definitely intend  to use my mixing method to try and finish a few off x
The next thing I've learned because of P10P is that having kind relatives, and having Christmas or Birthdays really helps - I managed to get a few things I really wanted and a few essentials without having to buy anything myself :) Despite that though and here is the biggest lesson that project 10 pan has taught me so far, I haven't actually wanted to by very much make up anyway. There are probably a few reasons for this first of all MAC especially have released nothing that has really wowed me -  their collections lately have all been a bit samey tbh. This could also be because I have actually started to shop my stash a bit more and see what items I actually own - this has been a useful if slightly scary experience, I own lots of things that dare I say it or similar if not identical to other things. This is particularly true with lip products, my mum rather subtley remarked that all my lip glosses and lipstick are in pretty much the same shade family and you know what she's right. In virtually every collection MAC release a nude/pink/neutral lipstick and gloss, and the fact is I already have enough of those to set up my own shop so I am eventually realising why buy more? Looking at things I already own has also made me realise how easy it is to dupe lemmings - for example a paintpot from Cham Pale swatches very similarly to an Estee Lauder Double Wear Cream Shadow I already have - pre project 10 pan I would have bought the paint pot and ended up with two very similar products hmm. Perhaps though the thing I have enjoyed, yes I did say enjoyed this isn't all about denial you know :) so far is shopping my stash and rediscovering lost or discarded gems - I have bought so many fabulous products over the years and barely given them a second glance once the initial purchasing high is over but because I've been unable to buy new things I experienced a new rush when playing with things I'd forgotten. This has had another side to it too I guess, I've also discovered things that are probably going to remain unloved either they take me too far out of my comfort zone or I have to many things the same so expect an updated blog sale page soon. I recorded a little rambly video yesterday where I talk about some of these issues and talk about the things I've finished so far so I am putting it here too so you can have a watch x

I am sorry this post has ended up as a bit of a ramble too but I'd just like to say thanks ladies for keeping me motivated as I live through your purchases :) 5 down 5 to go I really can do this now, Any questions please ask xx`

Project 10 Pan Item Number 4 :)

Today has been a good day well apart from the return of the snow that is, not only did I get my Sleek Primer Palette but I also finished my 4th item on Project 10 Pan :)

Today my Collection 2000 Big Fake False Lash Effect Mascara - 17 Ultra Black finally gave up the ghost and applied like a dry, unpigmented, clump to my lashes, It wasn't a bad mascara it certainly made the lashes look good, but I had a few problems with smudging and flaking - you can read my full review here, so it's probably not one I would repurchase :( Nevermind I still have about 10 + mascaras to use up including one I've been trialling for you - a review of that should be up next week - I wonder if you can guess which one it is ;)

So I'm nearly half way through now thank goodness, the next item down will either be a primer or a foundation. Once I get to 5 I will be doing a little half way progress and thoughts post both here and on my You Tube channel so you can look out for that xx

Project 10 Pan Update - 1 Down

Well my first item on Project 10 Pan is officially finished as predicted it was my full sized Laura Geller Balance & Brighten in Regular.

This has lasted so long, admittedly I only use it during the summer months or when I have a bit of tan but this has easily lasted me about 3 years, either as a mineral foundation in it's own right or as a setting powder for my liquid foundation. I have a couple of back ups of this both in the regular and the light shade, so it's something I don't need to repurchase for long time; I also have a MAC MSF Natural and the Alva Colour one I reviewed a while ago both in pale winter shades to use up as well, eek I am a creature of habit buying loads of back ups and similar products lol Never mind I am one item down only another 9 to go ;) I think my next one will probably be a lip product or a mascara. Remember to vote in my Project 10 Pan Poll if you haven't already I really appreciate it xx Any questions please let me know xx

Vote In My Poll

OK my pets I asked a question on my Project 10 Pan post and on my Project 10 Pan You Tube video about whether or not I should include face primers and to be honest I received a mixed response so I am leaving the decision up to you :) I've popped a little poll in my sidebar asking you yes or no - It will be open for 2 weeks and I'll go with whatever you my lovely people decide, so I'd really appreciate it if you would take a few seconds to vote xx

I'm Doing Project 10 Pan It's Official

OK the announcement you've all be waiting for is finally here - Today I am starting Project 10 Pan eek. As I've said in a few previous posts whilst I was sorting out my new make up storage I came to the conclusion that I really have too much make up. I have a couple of bits to add to my blog sale soon but I've decided to use some up before I buy some more. As you know I am super sucked in by new things so as I result I have loads of half finished products especially foundations and I currently have 4 mascaras on the go eek So Project 10 Pan it is - I will buy no more make up or nail varnish until I have finished 10 make up items. Obviously Christmas will fall into Project 10 Pan time for me and I can't stop others buying me make up but I will not be buying any myself. This is going to be so hard for me I know but it needs to be done. I have a few items that I think will be the first to go including my Laura Geller Balance and Brighten, an ELF Lipgloss, maybe a foundation, and definitely a few mascaras but we'll see. I have a question for you Project 10 Pan veterans - face primers are they included yay or nay, I personally see them as skincare as compared to say a UDPP which has a bit of colour in it but I know some people do include them so what do you think?
I've made a little video just talking about Project 10 Pan and my reasons for it which I've embedded here for you so you can have a little watch x

Other than that I'm just going to keep you updated with how I get on with a little section in the sidebar so you can monitor me progress and obviously I'll show you my empties. So what else can I say apart from wish me luck and don't expect too many hauls lol don't worry though I have loads of reviews to come and I suppose I could always buy more clothes ;) I am also going to try and get my updated make up storage post up soon too so you can see why I need to do Project 10 Pan ;) Any questions or comments please let me know I love reading what you have to say even if I don't always respond xx
