A Small Haul - 17, Avon and Neutrogena

Hey my loves - sorry for my absence for the last day or so I really haven't been feeling that up to blogging or doing anything else for that matter. On Friday though Mummy Lou decided that I should go out and get some fresh air. We popped to Asda and then I popped into Boots which to be honest was probably a bit too much for me -I felt awful and really sick and dizzy :( I managed to pay and then get back to the car so it wasn't too embarrassing :( Anyway I picked up a couple of things in Boots including this - The Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Cream Wash

I tried a sample of this when I was on holiday and I have to say I really liked it my skin was left feeling super soft and clean, and the smell was so invegorating, so I thought I'd pick a tube up.

Then came the make up I headed straight to the 17 counter, yes I was looking for the Magnetized polishes but typically my tiny little Boots had none, until I can get to the Metro Centre or Newcastle these babies will have to remain on my wishlist. No matter as a typical beauty junkie I still found something to buy and I got two of the Wild Metallics Cream Eyeshadows

On the left Wild Nude and on the right Wild Green

I've heard good and bad things about these so we'll have to see, the pigmentation is there but they do maybe feel a bit too creamy to be long lasting, still for £3.99 each they were worth a try, especially since I got a free gift the 17 Femme Noir Kit

The kit a Glitter Eyeshadow in Night Sky, a dark grey with sparkle

a Liquid Liner in Black

and an Ultimate Volume Lipgloss in Very Berry

All these items are full sized and the lipgloss is especially pretty especially with my now dark hair :)

That was my Boots haul, but one I got home the girl net door came with my Avon, I was super good and only got one thing this time - a Super Shock Eyeliner

I really like these, I first got one a few years ago and for the price it was really decent, it finally dried out earlier this year, and I really wanted a new one but they were nowhere to be seen. Then in the last catalogue I spotted them again, they are now in slightly metallic shades and the one I got was Blackened Metal which had tiny silver sparkles in it so pretty, and they have such a creamy texture

So that was my baby sized haul using my advantage card points and just £3.99. I will be perhaps heading to Superdrug next week to pick up the rest of my giveaway prize (click here to check it out it ends tomorrow!) but I am really trying to reign in my spending I am so broke it's untrue! If you have any questions or you would like to see reviews on anything I've bought please let me know x

Metro Centre and Ebay Purchasing

Hey my loves this post is a little late because of bloggers meltdown, and my evening out but on Thursday me and Mummy Lou popped to the Metro Centre to see if we could find something for my birthday :) We got a few things for said event and I picked up a few things myself - first up Top Shop - If your a Top Shop cardholder you normally get sent a voucher just before your birthday containing a discount, you used to be able to use it online but for the last couple of years you've only been able to use it in store. My purchases weren't super interesting but still - first up these ruffle, ridge style vest in both white and in purple

Then just some plain vests in white and this kind of peachy nude colour

I also got one of the loose powder blushers in Rosy - it's quite a subtle peachy pink shade ideal for a splash of natural colour

the little sponge applicator

swatch

Then I popped to Superdrug to pick up one of the new Beauty Cards I also had a little look at the make up I was particularly looking for the new Sleek lipsticks but the Sleek display was pretty empty so I went to look at the new Beauty UK releases - like last week they still had no testers for anything but I took the chance and picked up two of the baked blushers - well it would have been wrong not too they had a special offer on where you could get 2 baked products for only £6.00 and Mummy LouLou paid :). First up I got one of the lovely pink shades 1 Candy Shop

It looks quite scary in the pan but it really isn't

I also got 5 Peaches and Cream, a lovely neutral peach tone

This is so pretty if you like Nars Orgasm then you should like this x

I am really impressed they maybe aren't for you if you don't like shimmer or if you have darker skins but they are really pretty - I wore the pink one on Friday night and I have to say it was soooo pretty and fresh  x

I know I said on twitter that I wasn't going to pick up another copy of Instyle but I did, my subscription copy didn't come with the free Nails Inc polish and once I saw some swatches of Electric Teal I knew I wanted it :)

So that was my Metro Centre haulage pretty restrained for me I'm sure you'll agree but I do have a few bits to show you that came from ebay - first up nails I placed a little order a few weeks ago with Enchanted Beauty Spot I just got the 3 things, an OPI polish in Not Like The Movies - this was from the Katy Perry collection and I love it, I love anything that shimmers and changes colour

Next up some OPI Avoplex -I've used lots and lots of nail oils and I have to say this is my favourite - my nails are so dry at the moment and I really need this heavy duty moisturiser

Finally I ordered Essie Allure - I am planning on wearing this nude shade with Bourjois Rose Lounge to try and replicate Catherine Middleton's wedding day nails x

This next purchase was my first post Project 10 Pan make up purchase I ordered these the day after I finished P10P Bad LouLou :) It was the much talked about Wet n Wild Color Icon palettes

I got the six palettes in 249 Vanity which is the brown toned palette, with 3 matte and 3 shimmer shades ranging from dark brown to cream

and I also got 247 Pride, which is the blues and greens palette again it contains 3 matte and 3 shimmer shades, ranging from a white to a dark blue x

I also got a few more US make up bits via ebay including a L'oreal HIP Eyeshadow Duo in 936 Rascal, a pinkish nude shade and a dark smokey grey

I also got a L'Oreal HIP Intense Definition Eye Pencil in 325 Dark Night, a dark brown

and a Maybelline Eye Studio Cream Shadow Trio in 102 Silver Starlet

If you have any questions or if you would like any reviews or any more swatches please let me know xx
Obviously like most bloggers I am a little bit behind on my postings this week so I will try to catch up but obviously tomorrow is my birthday but I will try to sneak in a little post x

Gift From My Mummy - Sleek Primer Palette

Hey my loves I got a lovely surprise this morning, my mum had ordered me the new Sleek Primer Palette.

She for once took notice of my hints and ordered it all by herself from the Sleek website #prouddaughter , intending to keep it for my birthday but she thought I deserved a treat and gave me it this morning :)

I have to say as soon as I heard about this I wanted it - I love eye primers and cream shadows so this palette really appealed - it features 12 shades ranging from the brights to the neutrals, they seem really smooth and pigmented and probably wearble in their own right not just as shadow primers

The colour names in the palette are shall we say wrong, the green as described as peach, the blue as Ultra Violet and so on - brilliant quality control Sleek - erm not - any way swatches in the order they appear in the palette x

Pretty eh - I am so pleased with this and can't wait to try it on my eyes, I really hope it doesn't crease, for £6.99 it has the potential to be a really great must have palette - thanks Mummy LouLou xx

Finally My Accessorize Haul

Well this order has certainly been a bit of saga, I initially placed the order with Accessorize on the day the cosmetics collection launched - I paid via paypal but because I was in the process of becoming verified the payment didn't got through and 10 days later Accessorize cancelled my order?!? So I placed the order again and waited - a few days later the parcel dispatched I waited last Thursday whilst we were in I may add a little red card came through the door, you know the one "While You Were Out" Mummy LouLou immediately dialled the office and politely explained ;) that we were not out, not a problem we'll bring it out for you tomorrow morning was the response - well we waited and waited and eventually late on Friday afternoon still with no parcel we had to go out - when we got back no card, no attempted delivery, zilch. So Saturday comes, our regular postman comes with no parcel Mummy LouLou goes after him waving her walking stick - I'll call the depot and get the van to bring it later- he replies - hurray - Saturday afternoon the van comes parks, nobody gets out, he looks about a bit and then drives away!! Mummy Lou Lou leaves irate message with Royal Mail. Monday morning parcel comes with regular  postman who was fuming because said van driver had left him all his parcels because he couldn't find any of the houses!!!!! erm my house is over 30 years old!! Never mind said postman had my parcel from Accessorize :) and peace is regained :)
On to the order which I have to say was packed really well tissue paper, bubble wrap and resealable bags - very impressive - the order as you've probably already guessed was from the new make up collection and very good it is too :)

First of all the items I really wanted after seeing a few preview pictures of the range - the Merged Blusher in 3 Pretty Pink

OMG how pretty is this - a baked blusher it is very similar in appearance to MAC's Moon River - if you like I'll do some comparison swatches but it's a gorgeous shimmery peachy pink - apologies for the bad swatch x

I also picked up a couple of eyeshadows from the Merged (baked) range, now before I say anything else I have to say neither of these look anything like the website pictures - the shadows on the pictures appear to be light with dark veining where as these are must definitely dark with light veining. They are still gorgeous don't get me wrong I would just say if you are thinking of getting these or any of the Merged shadows I would maybe check them out in person so you aren't disappointed

The two colours I got were Gun Metal (Left) and Golden Brown (Right)

Gun Metal is a gorgeous silvery ,stormy grey with gorgeous white /silver veining, and Golden Brown as pretty much what you'd expect, a gorgeous warm brown with gold veining

I also got another couple of the eyeshadow palettes including the Gamble Eyeshadow Collection - in cardboard, magnetic packaging, this is a 5 shade palette which comes with a little sponge applicator and a mini tube of primer

Gamble is the neutral toned palette, you get 5 neutral toned shadows - they feel nice and soft and the pigmentation is pretty good despite the face the lighter shades don't seem to be showing up to well here x

The next palette I got was the Hot Smudge kit (why does that make me snigger;) in Shade 1 Black Cat - this is my favourite packaging I think, again magnetic cardboard, but this time with a slight kitsch (some would say tacky) leopard and rose print.

In this palette you get one dark grey / black slightly glittery shadow, and a black cream eyeliner as well as a little applicator

Swatch of shadow

I also got one of the Eye Dusts in Shade 6 Gold Leaf

I have to say this really doesn't look that gold in the tub but when swatched bear in mind this is a dry swatch, it is the most amazing old gold shade

The final product I got was a nail polish I have to say they look amazing on the site but I just got the one  - shade 41 Bronze

In the bottle which I've tried unsuccessfully to capture here it looks fabulous bronze, with red and gold shot through in the swatch though and I expect also on on the nails it looks a little flatter, it still pretty but you don't seem to see any of the flashes of colour

All in all I'm pretty impressed I think the most expensive thing I got was about £6 and for the price the quality is pretty good, my one gripe is the online pics of the Merged shadows but I'm sure seeing them irl would make up for that. If you would like any reviews or have any questions please don't hesitate to ask xx
