A Haul and A Big Thank You xx

I have to say I love you guys - the post I put up early this morning was a bit of a sad outpouring of grief, a bit non sensical but something I just needed to get off my chest. So many of you have left comments, and messaged me on twitter and facebook and I have to say a huge thank you to you all for your good wishes, I feeling a bit better now, we didn't go to the cemetery today the weather is a bit horrid so we are going to go next week, and instead I'm using the defrosted veg from the broken freezer to make a huge batch of curry x

Anyways onwards and upwards, forward not backwards as they say :) so I though I would cheer you and me up by showing you some pics and a video of a little haul I made on Thursday.

Me and my mum had been planning a little trip to the Metro Centre for a few weeks but some how it had never happened, I'd felt poorly, we waiting in for plumbers, the freezer defrosted itself, yeah you get the picture, but on Thursday afternoon we decided to make it happen. We checked out the huge new Primark store, the made over Superdrug, and of course Boots, my mum bought me a few things that shes put away for Christmas and being flat broke I bought nothing bar some Starbucks Mocha Praline Latte's which were on buy one get one free!!!!. My mum was kind enough to get me a few bits, I had a look at the make up in Superdrug and Boots but nothing really rocked my world - am I reaching saturation point again? hmm, anyways everything I picked up in Primark my mum is keeping for Christmas which I don't mind it wasn't anything I desperately needed now, so nail varnish it was - first up two I wanted from Boots`

Yes I got it Revlon Facets of Fuchsia, I heard a few people lately saying that they don't like this, but how could you not, I can't wait to give it a go :) I also got one of the 17 Magnetized Polishes, in Green, It looks like it's more of a teal shade actually, again I can't wait to try this, and I definitely want the blue one too (I may be getting similar colours from Nails Inc so that's why I don't want the rest ;)

We then went to check out the new revamped Superdrug store, I have to say I'm not sure yes the make up and perfume stands look great but it seems as though there shoving the rest of the products out, in the 10 minutes I was in the store I heard 3 people complaining that they could find things or why did they no longer stock something? we'll see I guess. All the cosmetics products were still on 3 for 2 but again their was nothing I wanted, so yup more nail varnish

I got an MUA polish in 24 a lovely dusky lilac, a Beauty UK polish in 54 Gun Metal, as you'd expect a lovely gun metal / pewter shade, and finally a 2True Crystal Nail Polish in Shade 1, a lovely glittery blue. If your interested in 2True check back in a week or so for a full post on the brand in my Budget Beauty Series.

Finally if you buy this months Glamour you can get a full sized Nails Inc nail polish, I can't remember the colours you can chose from at this moment in time but I know the only one I didn't have was Basil Street

A little lighter than Jermyn Street, it one of those perfect mannequin hands nudes, a real go to colour and an absolute bargains at just £2.

If you have any questions please ask, and thanks again for just being lovely xx

Collective Hauling

Hi Guys
Just for a change it's time for a haul :) I have to say despite the initial wobbles at the start of the month I've actually managed to reign myself in a bit , still I have made a few purchases over the last two weeks so I thought I'd show you some of them :)

First up an ebay bargain :) I love the Dove Summer Glow Facial Moisturiser but when I went to try and repurchase it recently I was told it had been discontinued - boo :( It give a really nice gradual tan and it had a gorgeous smell so I headed to ebay where I found and absolute bargain - 5 full sized bottles for just £4.00 - result !

I also ventured into new territory for me and purchased a BB cream

I love the idea of these and really wanted to try them, so after reading a post from the lovely Charlotte from Lipglossiping I bought the Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream in No 21

This is actually a pretty good match for my skin normally but as I'm faux glowing at the minute it's a bit light

I can't wait for the winter months to try this out properly but in the time I might pick up the new Garnier BB cream in the medium shade, we'll see how the budget goes ;)

Yesterday me and my mum went for a drive and ended up in Barnard Castle, we recently visited The Bowes Museum (see my post here) and we ended up buying 6 monthly memberships so we could go anytime wanted so yesterday we went to see the new Egyptian exhibit, and we had a lovely drive back through Weardale, Teesdale and Hamsterly Forest - one of the reasons I love living where I do is that within 20 - 30 minutes we can been in the middle of gorgeous moorland and open space or on beautiful beaches. Anyways enough of the rambling I ended up buying a few bits first of all in Superdrug.

I bought three lip colours from the Collection 2000 Cream Puff range. These have a super soft velvety feel on the lips and are actually matte lip creams as opposed to an actual lipgloss. From left to right Powder Puff 2, Cotton Candy 1, and Fairy Cake 3

I also bought another Collection 2000 lip product, yes I bought 4 lip products on one day, in my defence there was an offer where you could buy any 2, £2.99 Collection 2000 products for £4.00, so it would have been wrong not to ;) So I also picked up one of the Lock N Hold Lipglosses in Body Pop 1, a gorgeous candy pink

I also got a couple of nail polishes MUA No 16 a gorgeous bright pink

and the Beauty UK Gold shatter polish :)

I also picked a few other things including some nail polish remover pads, and the St Moriz Tanning Lotion

So that was a bit of hauling over the last week and a bit bad girl that I am, still I am going to try and recoup some of my hauling with some more ebay listings, I am being so strong it's untrue I have some fab stuff to list including some Marc by Marc Jacobs, some Miu Miu and more - keep checking my sidebar for updates. Any questions please ask xx

One Little Incident and Everything's Ruined

OK I did promise you a review next and I promise from the bottom of my little tootsies that I will do it tomorrow but If you follow me on twitter you'll know that on Friday I had a little bit of a crisis, as well as a really mean comment on You Tube, my beloved Fuji bridge camera bit the dust. I mentioned a few weeks ago that the battery compartment wouldn't close after one of the little lugs snapped off well on Friday the other one snapped, cue a very tearful LouLou - no camera = no blogging and no ebaying!!! So my mum agreed to pay half on a new cheaper camera. I went for this Samsung one, and a case and a 4GB card in the end ( I always seem to lose memory cards) and so far so good all the pics in this post were taken on it bit it's still a work in progress as I learn how to get the best from it. Ultimately I will try to get my Fuji fixed but I really can't be without a camera at the moment.
So why pray is every thing ruined - well once I'd paid for half a camera my monthly spends went a little through the roof so I did what any self respecting shopaholic would and went to Superdrug :)
I have to say nearly all the bits in my basket are to go towards my Budget Beauty Series so all is good I guess ;) No swatches on any of these products at the mo, they will be coming soon x
First up 2True - 3 products for just £4.99 automatically appealed  especially since my Godmother had slipped me £5 to treat myself :)so I added a few bits to my basket, including a purple and gold eyeshadow duo - No.9

a lipstick in No. 3 a gorgeous shimmery pink / mauve

and the nails varnish I've seen on a lot of blogs the Chanel Paradoxal dupe No.46

I also got another Beauty UK lipstick in No3 Snob, a lovely pink shade

I don't know what it is lately but every time you go to a till your always offered something extra or something that's discounted, well this time it was a full size Original Source Tea Tree and Lemon Shower Gel for just 89p I have to say this smells gorgeous so fresh and zingy

I also popped into Home Bargains for some Pepsi Max - 39p a bottle!!! as opposed to £1 plus everywhere else and I popped a few beauty bits into my basket - including some Scunci Bobby Pins

and these two interesting packets - first up a Rose and Shea Hand Pack -Made in Korea I think what this is, is gloves that are impregnated with collagen and vitamins, you put them on for 20 minutes and your hands are left feeling super soft -  my hands are awfully dry at the moment so I can't wait to try these out.

I also got a packet called Straight Stuff Hair Repairing Kit. You get 3 treatments in each pack - each treatment basically contains 2 sachets, one wheatgerm conditioner, and one straightening pack which contains avocado and coconut oil. I always love trying new things and can't wait to give these ago, especially since each packet was less than a £1!!
So that's it my spending diet is officially screwed for another month, hmm and I'm going to the Metro Centre next week oh hell ! I am going to try and keep myself reigned in -I never expected my camera to break completely why do we always get unexpected expenditure- grr. Any questions please let me know xx

Small Town Haulage and Goodies From 2 Lovely Ladies

Hey my beauties :) I know I gave you a haul this morning but you may have already noticed from my sidebar that I have already made a few purchases in June - Whoops!
This afternoon I popped to one of my local towns to pick up a few things for one of my besties birthday pressie and yes I picked up a few bits for me :) First up Superdrug - I picked up the other Accessorize £1.99 eyeshadow trio packs.

First up 21 - Iris a gorgeous shimmer lilac, a little bit darker than it's looking here

It also contained 4- Platinum - a gorgeous shimmery silver /grey

and finally 5 - Mermaid a gorgeous turquoise / teal shade

Swatches - again they are super soft and pigmented - I really recommend these especially for just £1.99

Next up a few Beauty UK items :) I haven't included any swatches at the moment because these products will all be included in my Beauty UK post from my upcoming Budget Beauty Series.
First up a nail polish - I haven't managed to capture the colour very well here so it's a work in progress - it's No.45 Turquoise Shim -which describes it pretty well - it's darker and more shimmery than it's looking here

Next a lipstick this is a bit of a departure for me but the times they are a changing - this is 10 Passion a gorgeous juicy blue based red

Finally I got a baked eyeshadow trio in Earth a lovely neutral palette

I also popped to Boyes and picked up a few stationery bits, and another LA Colors nail polish, this time in a shimmery aqua, blue called Radiation

I also bought a few magazine Elle with a free Reiss vest top which was tiny!! and Red which had a choice of 3 Jemma Kidd Lipglosses free. They had a nude peach, a red, and the colour I chose 15 Coral - Again not a typical LouLou colour but I'm really fancying a change - it really is a super hot coral.

So that was my little haul I also got a couple of parcels that were paid for in May x - first up a lipstick from the lovely Charlotte's blog sale - It's the Fearne Cotton lipstick from the hatbox collection

I got one for my birthday and really liked it and when I saw Charlotte was selling it I had to have it - it's a love peach /pink nude :) - Please check out Charlotte's blog if you haven't already she is lovely girls and she sent me such a sweet note with the lipstick too :)

I also got a lovely little parcel from the lovely Sinead at Dainty Dollymix from her Jewellery site -packaged in a cute little chiffon bag with sequins and sparkles her jewellery makes a lovely gift, I discarded mine before I took the pics I was that desperate to get this on my finger

It's such a pretty adjustable shell ring - it was only £3.00 and she has 8 designs to choose from I am definitely considering another one :) Thanks Sinead xx
So that was another bit of haulage eek I am still waiting for my NARS - thanks ASOS rolls eyes :( but other than that I'm pretty much done - rather scarily I am already over £20 down for June I must try harder - Any questions please let me know xx``

Superdrug, Peacocks and Boyes Haulage

Hey Guys
I know I said I would be laying off on the haulage front but I did pop to a local town this afternoon with Momma Lou - the appeal of this town - Superdrug :) Now I am free from the restraints of Project 10 Pan I wanted to go and play with make up for a bit lol First up this Accessorize special offer set

I'd seen this online but not in store. This store doesn't actually sell the Accessorize make up line but they had these sets of three Accessorize full sized eyeshadows for only £1.99 - they should retail at between £2 and £4 each! They had two sets to chose from - Mine contained

3. Truffle - a gorgeous bronze / taupe

10. Soft Pink - a gorgeous shimmery oyster pink

16. Sage - a gorgeous golden sage green
Swatches - From L - R - Truffle, Soft Pink, and Sage

I am soo happy with these - the are so pigmented and super soft - my larger Superdrug didn't have these so it's worth trying smaller stores, they also have the sets online but you can't choose which one you get.

I also picked up one of the new Dream Touch Blushers by Maybelline - these are gorgeous and creamy the only thing is the stand was a mess, and they were all mixed up so I picked one I liked the look of the only thing is the colour names aren't on the packaging so I don't know which one it is - why have Maybelline done this?

Anyway by course of elimination this is maybe Peach but I'd need to see it alongside Berry to make a true comparison - whatever I know that's not much help but it is super pretty :)

I also picked up two of the new Beauty UK Lip Lust glosses in No. 4 Sweet Sixteen (Top) and No.6 Oh Baby (Bottom) I am going to do a full review of these in a new series of posts I'm planning to do so no swatches at the moment x

I also picked up a copy of Top of the Pops magazine, yes I know I am not 12 but they had an interesting make up free gift.

For only £2.99 you got a BYS Eyeshadow Palette which has 9 colours which surprisingly is really pigmented

You also got a silver glitter liner, and a black and a jade pencil liner

I've only tried a couple of BYS bits in the past (my local chemist often sells bits) but as well as  being super cheap they all seem to be ok for the money, I have a lovely striped bronzer which alas they don't seem to make any more but if your keen on trying some super cheap make up you can get a 25% discount on BYS cosmetics @ http://www.makeup.uk.com/ just enter the code TOTP25 X

I also popped into Boyes - this is a shop that just seems to be in the North of England and Yorkshire - it sells all sorts of bits and pieces including health and beauty, clothing, craft, kitchenware etc I bought a couple of nail polishes W7 Limited Edition Earthquake Silver Shatter and LA Colors Color Craze Nail Polish in Static Electricity

I also popped into Peacocks to buy some undies - and for the first time I noticed the Evie Glam Make Up Range - it was on 3 for 2 so I bought a few bits which I will review for you hence no swatches in this post - first up the Blue Eyeshadow Quad - although it only has one real blue in it and a Mink Nail Polish

and a Blusher which seems a pretty peach / pink shade - look out for a review post coming soon x

So that was my haul some good bargains and a few reviews to come x Any questions or if you would like reviews of anything I hadn't mentioned please let me know x Next up a rave and review xx
