NOTD - A Work In Progress and An Update

Happy Monday everyone - I know I normally do a Goods and Bads post on a Monday but I've had a bit of a rubbishy weekend, so I thought I'd start the week with a bit of positivity :) As you know I got a new camera at the weekend so I thought I'd have a little play and do a nails of the day post. I'm still not a million percent happy with these pics so it's a bit of a work in progress. The colour I'm wearing today is from the Nails Inc bundle I purchased a few weeks ago. The polish I chose was Blenheim Terrace - a lovely peach / coral shade which I personally think would look much better with a tan x
Quite pretty don't you think x My posts this week are going to be predominantly me playing with my new camera but I am going to try and get at least one review up for you so stay tuned x Thanks for the follows xx

One Little Incident and Everything's Ruined

OK I did promise you a review next and I promise from the bottom of my little tootsies that I will do it tomorrow but If you follow me on twitter you'll know that on Friday I had a little bit of a crisis, as well as a really mean comment on You Tube, my beloved Fuji bridge camera bit the dust. I mentioned a few weeks ago that the battery compartment wouldn't close after one of the little lugs snapped off well on Friday the other one snapped, cue a very tearful LouLou - no camera = no blogging and no ebaying!!! So my mum agreed to pay half on a new cheaper camera. I went for this Samsung one, and a case and a 4GB card in the end ( I always seem to lose memory cards) and so far so good all the pics in this post were taken on it bit it's still a work in progress as I learn how to get the best from it. Ultimately I will try to get my Fuji fixed but I really can't be without a camera at the moment.
So why pray is every thing ruined - well once I'd paid for half a camera my monthly spends went a little through the roof so I did what any self respecting shopaholic would and went to Superdrug :)
I have to say nearly all the bits in my basket are to go towards my Budget Beauty Series so all is good I guess ;) No swatches on any of these products at the mo, they will be coming soon x
First up 2True - 3 products for just £4.99 automatically appealed  especially since my Godmother had slipped me £5 to treat myself :)so I added a few bits to my basket, including a purple and gold eyeshadow duo - No.9

a lipstick in No. 3 a gorgeous shimmery pink / mauve

and the nails varnish I've seen on a lot of blogs the Chanel Paradoxal dupe No.46

I also got another Beauty UK lipstick in No3 Snob, a lovely pink shade

I don't know what it is lately but every time you go to a till your always offered something extra or something that's discounted, well this time it was a full size Original Source Tea Tree and Lemon Shower Gel for just 89p I have to say this smells gorgeous so fresh and zingy

I also popped into Home Bargains for some Pepsi Max - 39p a bottle!!! as opposed to £1 plus everywhere else and I popped a few beauty bits into my basket - including some Scunci Bobby Pins

and these two interesting packets - first up a Rose and Shea Hand Pack -Made in Korea I think what this is, is gloves that are impregnated with collagen and vitamins, you put them on for 20 minutes and your hands are left feeling super soft -  my hands are awfully dry at the moment so I can't wait to try these out.

I also got a packet called Straight Stuff Hair Repairing Kit. You get 3 treatments in each pack - each treatment basically contains 2 sachets, one wheatgerm conditioner, and one straightening pack which contains avocado and coconut oil. I always love trying new things and can't wait to give these ago, especially since each packet was less than a £1!!
So that's it my spending diet is officially screwed for another month, hmm and I'm going to the Metro Centre next week oh hell ! I am going to try and keep myself reigned in -I never expected my camera to break completely why do we always get unexpected expenditure- grr. Any questions please let me know xx

Bon Voyage

Well it's nearly holiday time for me I leave early tomorrow morning but don't worry my lovely followers I haven't forgotten you, I've scheduled a few posts for you so you'll barely notice I've gone. I might pop up on twitter as I have to get some internet access to order my Venomous Villains goodies, so I may see you there. Hopefully after my holiday I'll come back refreshed and ready to catch on on my coming soon posts :), maybe with some OOTD and haulage posts, and armed with a bit more camera practice :) Till then I'll leave you with some pictures of Jake and Jasper "helping" me pack and Tallulah being a good girl and letting "mummy" get one with it - see you soon xx

FOTD

A quick FOTD for you - my stupid camera really doesn't show the colours up too well -if any can recommend a good reasonably priced camera specifically for face shots then please let me know :) Anyways onto the look after seeing all the pics from the Bourjois event I decided to did out my Healthy Mix foundation, teamed with a champagne coloured eye, with a dark brown contour - yes I do say that I used a green eyeshadow too and I did the edge of my brush hit the green shade add added a green / gold tone to my highlight - it wasn't intentional but it looked nice not that you can see it hmm... Anyways Enjoy x

ME ME ME Poppy Tint Swatches

Big news today I've finally figured my digital camera out and charged it up properly -shock horror it's only took me about 8 months. Anyways that means better pics and hopefully better swatching :) - So if anyone would like better pics of stuff I've already swatched let me know and I'll try to do them for you x

Anyways back on topic - I mentioned ME ME ME Poppy Tint a few days ago in my happiness is thread and I received a question from the lovely Sparkles and Lipgloss , so I've decided to try and answer it here by showing a few swatches. This product like the Benefit one looks pretty scary in the bottle - a super bright Barbie pink shade

Bottle

The Brush - still pretty scary

Initial application on my hand - I am usually an NW15 (sorry it not on my face I am having a breakout day :( ) - still a bit scary but you can start to see a bit of the blending capabilities

Blended in

Sorry that the last photo isn't the best but hopefully what you can see from this is what appears to be a very scary shade actually blends into quite a sheer glossy pink stain which looks fresh, pretty and quite natural on the skin. To be honest this is pretty much the same idea as the Benefit Benetint and the ME ME ME Pussy Cat Tint alternative, like this they look pretty scary in the bottles and when you first apply them to your lips or you skin but as you blend they actually give quite a sheer colour and finish. I hope this had been useful for you its certainly gave me some camera practice ;) If you've anymore questions give me a yell x

My Derby Game Pics!!!

Some pics taken from level 7 of the Sir John Hall Stand which is why the pitch is so tiny ! !!! Apologies there are no pics of police dogs I was too scared to take my camera out when I got stuck in the middle of the riot :(
