Budget Beauty Series - MUA Lipstick - Shade 14 Bare

I'm going through a real lipstick phase at the moment - I've acquired so many lipsticks over the last month or so it's untrue. One of my most recent acquisitions came courtesy of the MUA - Make Up Academy 50% off sale - I have a few MUA lipsticks already and for a £1 the quality isn't bad but for just 50p it would have been wrong not to pick one up.

The packaging is pretty basic, but it does the job. The like the fact that there is a clear section on the bottom of the lipstick so you can see the colour.

The shade I went for this time was 14 - Bare. I think that this must be one of the newer shades in the line because I'd never seen it before. As you would expect from the name, it's a real nude colour - not a concealer lip nude but one with a bit of colour and depth, and with hints of peach and brown

This lipstick like other lipsticks in the range has a sweetly slightly coconut and vanilla smell. It has a smooth, if slightly tacky texture. It's not the most moisturising lipstick I've ever used, but it doesn't feel too drying either. Wear time wasn't bad but it wasn't brilliant either but what do you expect for £1. Here is a shot of it on my lips - please ignore the spots, I wasn't wearing any other make up bar the lipstick ;)

As I keep saying for just a £1 these lipsticks aren't bad - I think their really good for a quick treat, or for trying out a new colour or a trend.

I mentioned in my most recent haul post (click here to read it) that I had quite a few MUA bits to giveaway so if you follower my blog via GFC, Bloglovin, or Hello Cotton and you'd like to win a brand new and sealed MUA Lipstick in Shade 14 - Bare, just fill out the Rafflecopter form below x
