Holiday Goodies - Airport Shopping :)

I bought so many bits whilst I was away I have decided to split my holiday buys into three seperate posts :) The first one is stuff I got in Newcastle and Larnaca airports, and via my Thomas Cook flights :)

I flew from Newcastle airport - it isn't the biggest airport but its tax/ duty free shopping has recently been expanded - alas still no MAC counter but I did still manage to pick up a few nice bits

First of all I got the new Marc Jacobs fragrance - Lola - I know a few bloggers have got this recently and wow it really is gorgeous - a lovely fragrance with an equally gorgeous bottle - I am such a sucker for packaging

I also picked up one of the YSL Rouge Volupte Lipsticks in 1 - Beige Chrnel - Nude Beige - OMG what can I say about this erm.. worth every penny it is gorgeous - super packaging, a lovely shade and so moisturising all the hype about this formulation is so right !

I also pciked up a bottle of the Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Refinisher - I have used this before and it really improves the clairy of my skin - I have tried the Soap & Glory Fab Pore Mask but it hasn't really done it for me (full review to come) and I know this product works

I also was a bad LouLou and picked up one the traveller exclusive kits by Christian Dior - I was totally sucked in by the amazing packaging and the super smokey glam eye and lip colours - I got the Dior Gaucho Celebration Kit :)

I also picked up a few necklaces from the terminals recently opened Accessorize

To be honest I was much more restrained at Larnaca airport - I only picked up a bottle of my holy grail fragrance Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio and a pair of bow earrings

I really wanted the Guerlain Russian Doll eye palette but unfortunately it had sold out :( So instead I treat myself to the Urban Decay Sustainable Shadows kit on my flight - again the packaging is gorgeous

Hey You + September Round Up

Hiyas - long time no speak to :) Alas the hotels Internet access was too expensive and my phone signal was non existent so apologies for the lack of updates but I am back from a gorgeous holiday in Cyprus - the weather was amazing but I got a stinky , nasty cold which I am still battling off. Anyways I have loads to catch up on - I've got a few videos to edit up and stick on You Tube and loads of holiday purchases to update you on and a few bits I've picked up since I've got home :),as well as trying to catch up with You Tube videos and blog posts so apologies in advance if I don't comment on any posts - you have been busy bees while I have been away. All of this will still probably be done without my laptop much to my irritation it is still MIA
:( Anyways to sum September up I have had a fab time buying what I've wanted for a change but this has to end - I have saved some of my holiday money for some bits from the new MAC collections but apart from that I am back to my £30 a month limit from today:)
I also persevering with trimming my stash - September wasn't the best of months - I only managed to finish 11 full sized items although I haven't counted the multitude of travel sized and mini items I finished whilst I was away

Pro Strong Pro Advanced Fluoride Nail Strengthener
Avon Bronze Sun Protection Sensitive UVA / UVB 15 Sun Lotion Spray
Avon Planet Spa Detoxifying and Firming Body Mask
Avon Planet Spa Hawaiian Thermal Volcano Paraffin Hand and Foot Treatment
The Body Shop Ginger Body Scrub
The Body Shop Peach Shower Gel
The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter
ELF Studio Make Up Remover Wipes
The Body Shop Seaweed Clarifying Toner
Lush Jasmine Henna Fluff-Eaze
Nivea Compact Deodorant

On the plus side I have hit pan on a couple of bits in September, and a couple of bits should be finished in the next week or so - I can definitely see an improvement in my bath and body stash :)

Anyways bear with me for a few days and I'll try and get caught up on my posts - including a huge thank you to the fabulous Sara for my swap package. and thanks to the lovely Kate for a gorgeous thank you post :)

NOTD - 2true :) + A Contest

As you know I was recently sent a batch of 2true goodies by the lovely people at Superdrug. Included in my package was a nail polish - The polish I was sent is 2 true Glossywear Nail Polish in Shade No.10 - This polish is a gorgeous sugar pink colour, but what you can't see in the pictures is a fabulous green / white iridescence depending on the light - It really seems to change colour as you move your hands :) So far so good but at just £1.91 or 3 items for £5 you really can't complain - I am on day 2 and I've only had a tiny chip so far - the pics don't do it justice its really pretty :)

I am going to try and do a few posts before I go away including a little haul and maybe one or 2 you tube videos but I am still without my laptop so we'll see. Oh and don't forget to enter the lovely Michelle from Lipstick Rules contest - a lovely prize including MAC from a lovely girl :)

2true Instant Length Mascara Review

As you know I was sent a lovely bagful of 2true cosmetics by the lovely people at Superdrug to try. Strangely enough I had never tried anything from this range despite the amazing price point - most items being £1.91 each or you can get 3 items for £5 :) The first product I tried was the Instant Length Mascara in 01 Black.

The product comes in a typical style tube in black and silver with metallic pink text. It is 7mls in size which to me is the most economical - with a smaller tube you certainly get less wastage and you are more likely to be able to use more of the product before it dries out
Photobucket
The brush is nothing fancy just a typical fibre, conical brush - in my opinion the way mascara brushes should be
Photobucket
The product is a good consistency not too wet and not too dry and it seems to cover the lashes quite well

2true claim this Mascara "Lengthens and separates lashes. Non Smudging, non clumping" and I have to say I agree with them as hopefully my before and after pics show -can I just add haven't used a lash comb in the after pics - what you see is what you get

What I Think
Well as I say this mascara certainly did what it promised for me without any stinging or irritation. You can certainly see the difference on my lashes, and it also seemed to last pretty well on my lashes and was actually a bit of a bugger to remove. Is this the best mascara I've used probably not but neither is it the worst I have used. I have paid a lot more money, and been a lot less impressed than I was with this one. Another huge plus point is the price point at £1.91 or 3 2true products for £5 - you certainly can't argue with the price, and I think its well worth a go for under £2. As for as I am aware 2true products are exclusive to Superdrug (although I stand to be corrected if I am wrong). Any questions please ask. Keep checking back for more 2true product reviews x
