2017 / 2018 Brought To You By Tissues And Paracetamol

Well that didn't quite go to plan did it? It always seems to be the way with me every time I make plans, something always seems to throw a spanner in the works or in this case should I say a boomerang!

You've probably all seen the semi sensationalist newspaper headlines but it does exist and me and several members of my family (including Mummy Lou :() have been stricken by the evil thing that is Australian Flu.

So instead of blogging, making You Tube videos, enjoying the Christmas leftovers and of course celebrating New Years Eve, I've spent most of the last week and a half in bed surrounded by tissues, olbas oil and paracetamol!

It definitely wasn't the way that I'd planned on starting 2018 but it can't be helped and as the saying goes things can only get better,

Although it's something that I've subscribed to in the past I'm not really a fan of that New Year, New You thing, I don't want to be a new person I just want to be the best person that I can, and to be honest I know what that entails, so as per usual I'm not going to make any earth shattering new years resolutions, it's just a bit of the same old, same old, lose a bit of weight, be more organised, save a bit of money and generally just be a nicer person and stop worrying about the little things in life and the things that I can't change.

So instead of getting stressed out about the posts and videos that I've had to put on hold over the last few weeks, I'm going to start the year off as I mean to go on, obviously by being productive and by getting things done, but I'm also going to stop putting so much pressure on myself and I'm going to try and enjoy blogging again but without the stress, the pressure and the self imposed expectations.

For the next week or so I'm going to be in catch up mode, I've got a few You Tube videos coming soon including some unboxings, a sale haul, and a Christmas pressie haul, and I've got a few blog posts in the pipeline as well including a late December Primark haul, a late Look Fantastic Beauty In Wonderland Advent Calendar catch up, and of course my December empties post and my 2017 Trimming My Stash totals.

I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for sticking with me in 2017, and I hope that you'll continue to support both my blog and my You Tube channel in 2018. Don't forget to enter my PIXI giveaway if you haven't already and if that one isn't to your taste, I have lots more giveaways planned for 2018, so from me and mine, to you and yours, Happy New Year and let's hope that it's a good one for all of us x

Getting Ready For Winter Colds With Olbas Oil Tissues

If there was one smell that would probably sum up my childhood, it would probably be Olbas Oil. I remember getting lots and lots of colds and sniffles when I was little, nothing much has changed there I guess ;), and my mum was always there with the bottle of Olbas Oil, Either on a tissue under my pillow, or in a bowl of water to help me to breathe more easily. That little bottle of oil really was a godsend, but it wasn't always the most practical thing,

That's why the makers of Olbas Oil have teamed up with top tissue manufacturer Lotus, to produce a convenient and easy to use product, to use at home or whilst your out and about

Meet Lotus Olbas Tissues, super soft paper tissues infused with the traditional and distinctive Olbas Oil fragrance of mint, eucalyptus, cajaput, menthol and juniper berry. Simply crush the tissue between your fingers, to release the soothing vapours.

As well as coming in a traditional tissue box, you can also buy Lotus Olbas Tissues in single pocket packets and in packs of 6. These tissues really do the job, easily, and without any mess, both myself and Mummy Lou have had the odd sniffle over the last few weeks and these really have made a difference. The only is you have to be super careful with these, so if you've got little people you will need to supervise them, the scent on the tissues is quite strong so you really shouldn't wipe your eyes with them and you should always wash your hands before putting your fingers near your eyes or mouth. I didn't read that part and wiped my eyes with them bizarrely enough when I was at my cousins wedding so it probably just looked like I was crying ;)

These tissues really are a must have at this time of year when there are loads of colds and bugs floating around, I can also imagine that they would be pretty useful in hay fever season too. Lotus Olbas Tissues retail at around 59p for a single pocket pack, at around £1.59 for a 6 pack, and around £2.29 for a box. They are available from must major retail outlets including Asda and Boots. If you have any questions please ask xx

2008 = Great - Not So Far!

Happy New Year and a very belated Happy Christmas readers!
Christmas was fab I got some amazing goodies, ate some yummy food and generally made merry! After Christmas however things started to go down hill. From Boxing Day onwards I started to develop the lurgy cold flu or whatever it is! Aches, pains you name it, then vomit, snot and now a hacking tickly cough! What an amazing start to 2008 and the football hasn't been much better! Here's hoping things can only get better - I have made some resolutions but I ain't going public with them - they aren't anything spectacular but they are personal ! At least the place looks nice today outside anyways - lovely snow making everything look clean and fresh better than indoors anyways all bare with the tree and the decoration being taken down!
Oh something good did happen I got an A for my first Counselling assignment!
