If you follow me on twitter you'll know that last week I was super excited to be featured on Grazia magazine online Beauty Blog Round Up, and even more excited to find out I'd been featured yesterday too . A little while ago I was given the opportunity to be one of Grazia's featured Beauty and Fashion bloggers. Nothing is going to change for you guys all it means it that Grazia may feature or highlight some of my blog posts that they feel are relevant to their site and I may feature content on my blog from them that I feel may be relevant to me or you guys, a bit like this post x
Last week Grazia online published an article all about caring for long hair despite having a bit chopped off the last time I got my hair cut it's still falls into the long category
Apart from a two year period when I went for a short bob and then a crop! I've always had long hair in fact when I was in primary school I could sit on my hair!
Long hair though needs special care and the Grazia article gives some great product and styling tips for those of us with flowing locks. A couple of the products have already been added to my must try list including the Morrocan Oil Large Barrel Brush, and the Ojon Instant Restorative Hair Serum, but two of the products the ladies mention are already regulars in my haircare routine, Batiste Dry Shampoo and more recently the Tangle Teezer.
For a few months now if not longer I heard so many people singing the praises of this little bit of plastic that I had to give it a try. So on my Thomas Cook holiday flight I bought the Pink Sizzle Compact Tangle Teezer.
Now lets be honest at first glance this doesn't look that impressive, in fact my mum very kindly described it as a cat brush lol, and to be fair it takes a bit of getting used to. The lack of a handle is a little disconcerting at first but styler is ergonomically designed to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand.
My hair in it's natural state is quite wavy, added to that a mixture of sunshine, humidity and salt water, then in the last week or so I tended to look a bit like a member of the Jackson Five ie I had very big hair! The bristle of the Tangle Teezer don't feel that strong so I was a bit wary at first, but I needn't have been this brush coped really well with my knots and tangles leaving my hair my hair really smooth. I did lose a few hairs in the process but the clever protective cover also features a tool to remove excess hair from the brush.
I have to say I agree with a lot of my twitter followers and the girls at Grazia, the Tangle Teezer is a great tool for those with long hair, or hair that tangles easily, and I can imagine it would be great on childrens hair. I gave this brush a pretty stern test whilst I was away and it passed with flying colours. Any questions please let me know and don't forget to check out Grazia Daily and Tangle Teezer.

Kiss Me Quick For Valentines Day
I have to admit Valentines Day leaves me feeling a little low, as a single lady for the last year or so I often feel a little left out in the cold but never mind jealousy is never a good look ;) so I take the approach that February 14th should be the day for all of us to spoil ourselves. I was therefore delighted to receive a pre Valentines Day offering for my favourite hairbrush manufacturer Denman.
I've previously shown my love for Denman brushes in a big way so I was thrilled to receive a brush from their new Kiss Me Quick Valentines range. In the classic D3 style, the Kiss brush features seven rows of nylon bristles on an anti static rubber pad
I received the glossy pink, which is a lilac based pink with embedded sparkles which I hope you can see on my pics. The brush also features a silver lips print.
I've said it before and I'll say it again I love these brushes so much, you can use them on wet or dry hair without any pulling or tugging and they are great for blow drying.
This would make a super cute little Valentines gift or even a great treat for yourself, as well as the glossy pink there are two more colourways available red with black lips, and black with red lips. The D3 Kiss retails at around £7.31 from all Denman stockists. For more information check out the Denman website
(ETA - Excuse the hairs on the brush in the photos, it was the first brush my mum grabbed for my hospital bag - before I had taken any pics thanks mum ;)

Brush Up Well With Denman
OK as promised a product rave, well partially a rave and partially a review as you'll see :) About a month ago I was lucky enough to be sent a package of hair related samples from a PR company, included in the package was a hairbrush - cue a very excited LouLou :)
Why may you ask was I so excited by the inclusion of a hairbrush, well the brush I was sent was the latest model of my favourite hairbrush of all time the Classic Styling Brush by Denman.
Used frequently by hairdressers including mine, Denman describe this as the most famous brush in the world and I can see why, I must have had mine the D3 Classic Medium 7 Row Styling Brush for about 5 years and it is still as good as new. With 7 rows of nylon pins set on an anti static rubber cushion, you can use this brush on wet or dry hair and it is great for blow drying and it never tangles or tears my hair. I've dabbled with others but for the last few years this has been my hairbrush of choice (excuse the hairs stuck in it tho - erk)
So as you can guess I was thrilled when I received the new Tutti Fruiti Fragranced version of my beloved brush. Identical in design to the original D3 with the sturdy plastic handle, and white nylon pins, the main difference is the pretty fruit designs on the handle and the coloured, and scented rubber cushion.
It might be a bit of novelty value but the fragrance is a nice touch and this is a really good all round hair brush and I am certainly happy to have another. The original Denman D3 Classic Styling Brush retails at around £6.94, and the D3 from the Fragrance Range retails at around £7.16. The brushes are available from Denman stockists including Boots, Superdrug and from Denman's own website. Any questions please let me know xx
(The fragranced brush was provided by PR for review purposes, I purchased the original D3 myself)

I was sent the Wild Dewberry version which smells exactly like The Body Shop's traditional Dewberry fragrance, and comes with purple printed berries and a purple cushion. You can also get the D3 in Strawberry Shortcake, Lemon Sherbet,Coconut and Green Apple fragrances. The fragrance is lovely, but at the same time subtle and I noticed no real transfer on to the hair, which I would have liked :(
