Shock Horror...

Like the majority of other bloggers I received an email from Beauty Judge telling me I have been nominated for an award in the Beauty Judge UK Beauty Blog and Vlog Awards 2010 Yeah - I have been nominated in The Everyday Woman Award for blogs / vlogs with under 500 followers (Boo I want more followers :() - I am not forcing you to vote for me as there are so many fab ladies that are out there who have also been nominated but if you would like to vote for me, my voting ID code is EWA1085 - and if you vote you have a chance of winning a gorgeous beauty hamper - go on you know you want to xxx

Operation Nail Growth

As you can see this month I have bought some fabby nail varnish but as yet you've seen no nails of the day posts, well at the moment my nails aren't worth painting. Illness, medication, and the cold weather has all meant my nails are awful, super dooper short, with dry cuticles and hangnails (the pics actually make them look better than they are)


So for the next month I have decided to try a little experiment - operation nail growth - I am going to have a good go at getting a proper nail routine together with proper nail and cuticle moisturising, and some nail strengthening products, using items by OPI, Jessica, Leighton Denny, Nails Inc, Lush and so on which I already own (see not buying anything new ;) )

So have a good luck at my before nails and hopefully in a months time I can show you something a bit nicer - wish me luck and if you have any nail, hand and cuticle care hints and recommendations let me know x

MAC In Lillyland Goodies

OK sorry I'm back with another haul and to make it worse it's a MAC one ;) still as I said before my Mum paid for this one - hurray and it's the only thing that has cheered me up today - I feel like plop!

Never mind - even though somebody else was paying for this I still think I was quite restrained - I quite fancied a few other bits but I just got 3 things :)

The first thing I got was the Pearlmatte Face Powder - I am such a sucker for pretty things and this is soo pretty - a mixture of 4 matte and pearl / shimmer colours in one compact - the largest section looks quite orangey on it's own but all together they form a lovely sheeny bronze / gold - there are some fab swatches as per usual on Specktra and Temptalia :)


I also went for one of the new Cremeblend Blushers in So Sweet, So Easy - this is such a pretty colour (a little darker than my pic irl :))and the texture is gorgeous so creamy

So they are my Lillyland bits but I did get an eyeshadow from the new Pop Colour line which strangely wasn't listed separately just integrated in the rest of the eyeshadows - I got Lucky Green which is a gorgeous lime / golden olive type colour in the super soft veluxe pearl formula :)

Isn't it always the case you wait for one bus and two come along once - well the same thing happened to me with parcels today - I am expecting a few bits and two come on the same day - still I ain't complaining :)

My second parcel was from US ebay :) After a little bit of enabler action from a certain Miss Lipglossiping I kind of bought this nail polish OMG it is amazing sooooo pretty - it's OPI Absolutely Alice from their new Alice in Wonderland themed nail collection - this picture really doesn't do it justice so please check out Charlotte's to see it's true beauty :)

Ok so I bought it on buy it now and thought I'd browse the sellers ebay store before I paid - big mistake - well not really but you know what I mean - then I saw this colour I have wanted this for ages but I refused to buy the stupidly inflated ebay prices for it but believe it or not this was exactly the same price as the rest of the China Glaze colours (the seller is cleopatrastyle-usa )The colour of course is For Audrey x

So I'm majorly pleased with these bits - so much for not buying any more nail varnish - whoops! Despite a little bit of snow last night me and my mum headed to the Metro Centre this morning - I was super good and only bought 2 things x
This super cute Accessorize necklace with a faux pearl, and a lipstick and a ring charm (I've used their pic because I can't get a good one because its too small :( )

and these earring which are like bronze / gold balls - they had 70% off and go with loads of things I already have :)

As you can see from my sidebar I have already just about gone over this months limit -whoops so I am going to have to be super good for the rest of the month - fingers crossed x

Thank You Mr Postman - Part 1

I got a lovely parcel from my postman this morning a lovely package of goodies from the lovely Charlotte aka Lipglossiping. I was lucky enough to win not one but two fabulous prizes from her super generous Christmas / Advent giveaway :)
First of all was this fab Jessica Nails At Home kit - I haven't tried any of their treatment products before so I am super excited to have this especially since my nails and cuticles are in an awful state at the moment - the kit contains a tub of Nourish Cuticles Formula, a tube of Hand and Body Moisturizing Emulsion, a bottle of Brilliance top coat, a bottle of Phenomen Cuticle Oil and a nail file

This is really gorgeous I can understand Charlotte's reluctance to give this one up, it contains 3 lip colours, 3 eye colours and the most gorgeous blusher in the colour Desirable - a lovely peachy, pink

Alice In Wonderland Ebay Purchase

With the up and coming release of the new Alice In Wonderland movie we can expect to see more and more Alice merchandise and inspired products on the market, with the current OPI collection, goodies by Paul and Joe, and of course the must have Urban Decay palette, its already our there and imprinted in our minds and on our wishlists. Whilst doing a random search on Alice in Wonderland I found this necklace :)

I've used the sellers pic here and I can't recommend them highly enough - it's a super cute silvertone charm necklace with a picture of Alice, and a key and a mushroom charm - it cost £4.71 with postage (which I paid myself) and came with in two days wrapped in bubblewrap and in a little fabric pouch - fabulous - the sellers name is bowcocos and she does lots of Alice, Wizard of Oz and Twilight themed jewellery x

Models Own Goodies

As you probably know last weekend Models Own had a 72 hour spectacular spend over £20 and get your order for half price - no matter how much I debated for someone who hadn't tried the brand before this was too good an offer to turn down so I clicked my mouse and placed an order :)
I ordered 5 nail polishes from Left to Right - Nude Beige, Misty Grey, Dusty Mauve, Purple Poppy and Slate Green

and I also ordered one of their eye powders in Gold :)

I got all these bits for only £15 delivered which was fabulous :) (see it included on my monthly spends in the sidebar) I'll be doing some NOTD, reviews and swatches over the next few weeks for you, but so far so good, delivery was super quick, and they were packaged safely in a MAC like black box with some gorgeous purple tissue
