Advanced Warning
Hiya everyone just to let you that my mum is going into hospital for an operation tomorrow. This can mean one of two things for my blog - first of all a lack of posts due to general stress, and dragging my ME ridden carcass around doing housework, and cat care, or millions of new posts due to stress induced mania lol I am hoping it will be somewhere in between lol - I have a few planned posts for the next weeks including a little ELF haul (within my spending diet I assure you;)), a couple of reviews and an update on operation nail growth so hopefully I'll be around but if I'm not I will be back soon and in the mean time you can catch up with my whinging on twitter :) Thanks again for all you support and I'll see you soon xx

Good and Bads
Thought I'd start a new week and a new month by doing a good and bad post :)
Goods
* My mum - I love my mum so much - she popped to Aldi today and bought me some Lacura skincare backups which was so sweet of her and she ordered me some bits from the MAC Spring Color Forecast collection including one of the pigment stacks which I hinted about but didn't ask for - I don't know what I would do without her
* I purchased quite a few bits last week and three in particular are really standing out and I'm really loving - reviews to come
* February is over so I can hopefully get back on track with my spending diet feeling positive that I can stay wrong
* You lovely people - huge thanks to my followers new and old - I really appreciate your support and nice comments - I was really nervous about posting FOTD's - having being bullied and teased all my life for my facial palsy but you lovely girls have been so nice -It's made me finally feel comfortable with myself - thank you cx
Bads
* The heating has gone off again argh - it isn't clicking in for some reason and the house is freezing - someone from the insurance is supposed to ring us back later - fingers crossed they hurry up
* My mums operation is hopefully on Saturday - she has had most for her pre-op tests and just has to have some bloods taken in Thursday - she is understandably a bit stressed and as a result so am I :(
* Probably because of the above I have put a pound back on - I am disappointed but not surprised but I am not going to beat myself up over it and I'm going to try harder this week

I Heart My Mummy - Part 2
Some good news today my mum will hopefully be out of hospital tomorrow - her physio has been out to assess the house and will be providing us with some things, e.g. chair heighteners, bath boards and so on to prevent this happening again while her hip heels :)She has been warned though, she isn't to do anything!!! Anyways my mum asked me to do a bit of shopping before she comes out and she said if I wanted anything such as magazines, DVDs, etc. to keep me occupied or to cheer me up (she knows how stressed I have been) just to pay for them with money she left me for shopping. I couldn't no matter how much I wanted to let her buy DVDs for me (as much as I want to see Slumdog Millionaire) so I settled for a couple of magazine and used the rest to buy her a bouquet of flowers for when she comes out. I got this months GLAMOUR and Marie Claire both of which came with a fabulous free gift. Marie Claire came with a novel by Cecelia Ahern, author of the fabulous PS I Love You, and even more excitingly GLAMOUR came with a free half size (4g) Benefit Bad Girl Lash Black Mascara worth £9.50- hurrah.
I am a happy and relieved LouLou tonight :)

Upsy Downsy Days
I have had a really odd couple of days. As you may know about a month ago my mum had a hip operation, everything has been going pretty well up until probably the weekend. Her hips, leg and groin became incredibly painful and she was finding it really hard to walk, and stand on the operated side. I quick phone call to her surgeon and her GP lead to an ambulance escorting her to casualty! The big news was that the new joint hasn't popped out (this is common, serious and very painful). So after much poking and prodding, fluid draining and x-rays her surgeon thinks she has probably pulled a muscle or has tried to rush her rehab. So she is going to be in hospital for at least a few days so they can keep an eye on her and make sure doubly sure nothing is seriously wrong - argh!!! Needless to say over the past two days I have been a bit all over the place - less than 3 hours sleep last night means I am pretty wrecked! Still my best friend offered to take me to see my mum so I could take her some clean clothes and things. So for hospital visiting I decided to make an effort dress wise, and I needed to plaster the make up on so I didn't look so tired - hmm - here's what I wore :)

Cheering Myself Up - Maybe?
Its been a odd few days here in Lou Lou Land something that is forecast to continue for at least the foreseeable future. My mum went into hospital yesterday for her hip operation. Understandably I was totally stressed all day waiting for news so I did what I do best in situations like that I shopped. I am now waiting for a whole batch of parcels to come - I ordered some clothes, jewellery and a bag from New Look, some clothes and a bracelet from Dorothy Perkins, a whole load of beauty bits from Boots and some make up from ELF eyeslipsface . I haven't tried any of their products yet but at prices starting from £1.50 they have to be worth a try. Then today I ordered some Orly and OPI nail varnishes from eBay and I won a gorgeous Mary Quant eyeshadow duo too. Hmm all because of stress I have spent nearly £200 and my spending diet is out of the window yet again - that is pretty scary when you think about it.
As it turned out there wasn't a great deal to get stressed about - my mum had her op and is feeling better already - I went to see her last night and she called me this morning and although she is still hooked up to her drips and is still on morphine she isn't feeling too bad - I am hopefully going to see her again tomorrow which will settle my mind again. I've hoovered, cleaned the bathroom and I just have a pile of dishes to do and then everything bar my craft room is pretty much sorted - I can do this!

A Catch Up - Weak As I Am

Ok - its time to confess my sins !
As predicted the shopping trip with my godmother was a bit of a wobble for me and it again showed how weak I am when it comes to shopping - It start off well - I returned my New Look dress and didn't buy a thing in the process. It was a bit of a shame actually I normally love everything Giles Deacon does and I have at least one piece from each of his previous collections for New Look but I have to say I was pretty disappointed by this one which launched on Thursday- nothing screamed buy me for once, it was all exposed zips, studs and weird shapes :( - not flattering on me at all. So one shop down no purchases, next came H&M. Oh dear - I majorly fell down in here buying some fab tops and vests in gorgeous bright shades of orange and blue, some super blue suede gloves for only £3, and a gorgeous orange and peach corsage(see pic). To be fair I love all of these items and will get a load of wear out of them, oh and they forgot to charge me for one of the vests - I feel a tiny bit guilty about this one but it was the cashiers mistake and I didn't realise till I got home ! Next I went to Primark - for a change nothing really grabbed me in there and I just got a couple of things - yet another nightie, a lovely cream metal flower brooch, and some yummy sunglasses (see pic of side detail) - not bad.
The next shop we went into was Superdrug - oh dear - I got my Maybelline Foundation as I said I would and it had £2 off so I was well chuffed but I also bought some leg wax and some hair removal cream (essentials), some false eyelashes (the Eyelure Girls Aloud - Cheryl ones), and a GOSH eyeshadow stick. It gets worse - then I got some Lush Goodies (including my holy grail Jasmine Henna Fluff Ease Conditioner) and this tribal tankini from Next although I only paid £5 for it because I still had my £25 gift card so that wasn't so bad. Bad enough you may think well it got worse again I ordered another Sesame Street nightdress "Make Cookies Not War" and a necklaces Top Shop , and got an eyeshadow from Boots- Whoops. I have to admit though that it could have been so much worse - as well as the Giles stuff I was just a bit mwwwahh about the majority of stuff in the shops. Maybe I am losing my shopping mojo - I hope so. Still I managed to get a few bits which my Godmother is going to keep till my birthday so that's something to look forward to in what is going to be a hard week or so.
My mum went for her pre operative assessment at the hospital yesterday and it looks as though she is going to be going in for her operation in a weeks time - she has to go for some bloods on Thursday but it looks pretty much nailed on. We both got a bit upset and emotional about things last night but sometimes you need that to clear the air and get things out in the open - we are both pretty emotional people and we sometimes keep things to ourselves and then it kind of explodes - yesterday was one of those days - Still onwards and upwards -OK some things aren't great my own health included but my ebays are selling well, I love my mum and my family and I have some amazing friends - I have a lot to be thankful for x

Happy Mothers Day

OK it was yesterday but I didn't have time to post yesterday. I was too busy making a yummy mothers day meal for my mam. We started off with a sort of anti pasti with olives, stuffed pepper dews, balsamic pickled onions, baby plum tomatoes and luxury crisps with a yummy garlic and herb dip. We then progressed to a yummy ricotta, spinach and pine nut lasagna with gluten free ciabatta, and a wild rocket salad, and finally a yummy dessert of frozen berries with hot white chocolate sauce - all washed down with a lovely bottle of pinot grigot (spelling?). To be honest it nearly killed me - I had completely overdone it ME wise on Saturday with doing a bit of shopping in the town and then going to the football but she is so worth it. We found out last week that her next operation is going to be much sooner than we thought - she turned down a date at the beginning of April so she will be hopefully going into hospital on 2nd May now for her first hip operation. Understandably I am a bit concerned but it is for the best and it will definitely relieve her pain and make walking easier for her. Fingers crossed I manage with the caring thing though it exhausted me completely last time and I majorly relapsed over Christmas - he's hoping I manage to pace better this time and it isn't as hard :( I'll keep you posted as to what happens x
