I Heart My Mummy - Part 2

Some good news today my mum will hopefully be out of hospital tomorrow - her physio has been out to assess the house and will be providing us with some things, e.g. chair heighteners, bath boards and so on to prevent this happening again while her hip heels :)She has been warned though, she isn't to do anything!!! Anyways my mum asked me to do a bit of shopping before she comes out and she said if I wanted anything such as magazines, DVDs, etc. to keep me occupied or to cheer me up (she knows how stressed I have been) just to pay for them with money she left me for shopping. I couldn't no matter how much I wanted to let her buy DVDs for me (as much as I want to see Slumdog Millionaire) so I settled for a couple of magazine and used the rest to buy her a bouquet of flowers for when she comes out. I got this months GLAMOUR and Marie Claire both of which came with a fabulous free gift. Marie Claire came with a novel by Cecelia Ahern, author of the fabulous PS I Love You, and even more excitingly GLAMOUR came with a free half size (4g) Benefit Bad Girl Lash Black Mascara worth £9.50- hurrah.
I am a happy and relieved LouLou tonight :)

Cheering Myself Up - Maybe?

Its been a odd few days here in Lou Lou Land something that is forecast to continue for at least the foreseeable future. My mum went into hospital yesterday for her hip operation. Understandably I was totally stressed all day waiting for news so I did what I do best in situations like that I shopped. I am now waiting for a whole batch of parcels to come - I ordered some clothes, jewellery and a bag from New Look, some clothes and a bracelet from Dorothy Perkins, a whole load of beauty bits from Boots and some make up from ELF eyeslipsface . I haven't tried any of their products yet but at prices starting from £1.50 they have to be worth a try. Then today I ordered some Orly and OPI nail varnishes from eBay and I won a gorgeous Mary Quant eyeshadow duo too. Hmm all because of stress I have spent nearly £200 and my spending diet is out of the window yet again - that is pretty scary when you think about it.

As it turned out there wasn't a great deal to get stressed about - my mum had her op and is feeling better already - I went to see her last night and she called me this morning and although she is still hooked up to her drips and is still on morphine she isn't feeling too bad - I am hopefully going to see her again tomorrow which will settle my mind again. I've hoovered, cleaned the bathroom and I just have a pile of dishes to do and then everything bar my craft room is pretty much sorted - I can do this!

Happy Mothers Day

OK it was yesterday but I didn't have time to post yesterday. I was too busy making a yummy mothers day meal for my mam. We started off with a sort of anti pasti with olives, stuffed pepper dews, balsamic pickled onions, baby plum tomatoes and luxury crisps with a yummy garlic and herb dip. We then progressed to a yummy ricotta, spinach and pine nut lasagna with gluten free ciabatta, and a wild rocket salad, and finally a yummy dessert of frozen berries with hot white chocolate sauce - all washed down with a lovely bottle of pinot grigot (spelling?). To be honest it nearly killed me - I had completely overdone it ME wise on Saturday with doing a bit of shopping in the town and then going to the football but she is so worth it. We found out last week that her next operation is going to be much sooner than we thought - she turned down a date at the beginning of April so she will be hopefully going into hospital on 2nd May now for her first hip operation. Understandably I am a bit concerned but it is for the best and it will definitely relieve her pain and make walking easier for her. Fingers crossed I manage with the caring thing though it exhausted me completely last time and I majorly relapsed over Christmas - he's hoping I manage to pace better this time and it isn't as hard :( I'll keep you posted as to what happens x

5 Months Later!!!

Apologies for not posting for ever but I haven't always had time the time or the energy and I discovered Facebook!
Home wise is still the same I still have ME , I had another fab holiday in Cyprus, and my mum needs two knee replacements and two hip replacements :(

Football wise all hell has broke loose Mike Ashley and his minions have taken over the club and what seemed like a good thing is rapidly turning into a disaster. The appointment of Keegan was always going to be risky but bringing in people over his head, and telling him how to manage was never going to work and it was no surprise when Keegan resigned. Cue one very unhappy football club and one super angry fan base. I am currently debating on whether to go on Saturday as I don't know if I can face a riot so I will wait and see. Trouble at SJP not half!!!
