Face Of The Day - More Experimentation

Ok more experimental face of the day pictures - I just had a play yesterday with a smokey eye and a pale nude lip. Again I'm not a million percent happy with the pics taken with the setting that shows up the colour my skin looks scarily shiny and less than perfect hmm where as on the normal setting I look blurred but flawless lol hmm definitely a work in progress

Well it's my besties birthday today (Happy Birthday Dawn!) - and last night we went to see the new Sex and the City film - well as I keep saying the plans of mice and men - it had sold out for the next 2 and a bit hours so we decided to wander round the shops instead since we both wanted to be home by 11pm :) My mum had given me some money for the cinema so instead I picked up a few bits including this - it was a bit of a fun purchase but I love it which is so strange because I am so not a hat person :)

I also picked up these cute bow earrings I love my bows me :)

We also popped into Boots where the cosmetics are all on 3 for 2 so I got 2 Models Own nail paints in Fuzzy Peach and Lilac Dream, and a Prestige Lash Matrix Mascara as recommended by Take A Break ;) I'll do a review on this at a later date for you x

I also got a couple of magazines - there are some good freebies to be had in the July issues, including a beach bag with Elle (I got the animal print one for my mum), and in Red a Jemma Kidd Make Up School Lipgloss I got 04 Shell.

It wasn't the night I had planned and I'm paying for it now ( insomnia and dizzy spells anyone) but it was a laugh we tested perfumes in Debenhams, and played with make up on the Bare Minerals and Smashbox counters (no make up assistants anywhere in Debenhams - strange), and tried on hats and fascinators - great juvenile girly fun I am sure Carrie and Co would have been proud

I haven't done one of these for ages but I've been using this product an awful lot lately. Its Prestige Skin Loving Minerals Mineral Bronzing Powder in Pure Shimmer. Its not so much a bronzing powder more a gorgeous shimmery highlighter which looks so, so pretty

Blog and Forum Sale Goodies

I am loving the concept of blog and forum sales lately - new and lightly used beauty items for a bargain price. I've got a couple of bits over the last week or so so I thought I'd share my bargains :)


First of all I managed to get MAC Springtime Skipper eyeshadow from the Barbie range from the fabulous peachykeen cheeks - I really love this colour its like no other MAC green that I have - Thanks Vicky x


I also won Benefit 10 Powder from the lovely Lollipop26's latest blog sale - this has been on my wishlist for ages and I am so please to have got it - a fabulous highlighter and bronze and contour in one <3 -Thanks Laura x

I also managed to get a few brand new products from a recent chat forum sale - Essie nail varnish in Mademoiselle, Chanel nail varnish in Biarritz, and a Christian Dior Lip Beautyfier - Extra Shine Lip Plumper Gloss and a free Prestige Eyeshadow in MEC-08 Lapis-all for less than half the retail price - I love a bargain x

I Wouldn't Say I'm Clumsy But...

I have had a pretty destructive few days I wouldn't say I was overtly rough or careless with my products but I seem to be breaking a lot of things at the moment - is it me or is the packaging of a lot of cosmetic products just not that great anymore. In the last few days I have snapped the lids off a Prestige bronzer compact, a Models Prefer concealer pot , and a Laura Geller Balance and Brighten compact! I have also broke a Creme De La Mer The Lotion Pump and a Smashbox Primer Pump. Thankfully I can still use all the products one way or another but it is just me who this happens too or is this a common problem with packaging these days

Eek maybe whatever virus I have got has given me super strength lol - hmm it seems to have sapped it from everywhere else though - I'm feeling a little better than yesterday but still not great I am going to leave it till Monday now and ring my own GP then if I am still not feeling great :(
