A Little FOTD and NOTD

FOTD
Hey my loves just a quick post to show you today's face of the day - I have to say I am a bit bleurgh about putting this one up my facial palsy is really bad today, probably because I'm not feeling that great :( but my skin isn't too bad and I have a tan :) Like I said before I went away my FOTD's are going to be a work in progress whilst I play with my camera settings a bit, this one isn't too bad you can see colour and texture more than usual, but we'll see. You can't see the lips too well but it is one of the my lips but better colours anyways, but it's really highlighting the shimmer hmm x

Today I Wore
Laura Geller Balance and Brighten - Regular
Boots No 7 Trio Concealer - Darkest Shade Only :)
BYS 5 Stripe Bronzing Powder - 01 Golden Dore
Prestige Sun Baked Mineral Bronzing Powder - Pure Shimmer (to highlight, and on brow bone)
Anabelle Trio Eyeshadow - Amazon (colour as indicated all over lid)

MUA Eyeshadow - Shade 11 (in crease)

Bourjois Coupe de Theatre Mascara - 51 Noir Exceptionnel
Smashbox Lipgloss - Bombshell

NOTD

I thought I'd also show you another NOTD post too I changed my polish last night to another of the colours Lydia sent me a similar pink shade to the last one but this time it's matte and I have to say I like it, a nice pink that emphasises my tan and dries super quick, the matte look really seem to work with this. It's Sense Tech in 02 100% Mat by Deborah

Any questions or comments please let me know xx

A Parcel From Lydia and NOTD

The last parcel that came when I was on my hols came from the lovely Lydia from Alice In A New Wonderland - a little while ago I sent her some goodies to celebrate her graduation despite me saying that she needn't return the favour, because she is such a lovely girls she did and sent my a parcel :)
I'm sorry it's taken me almost a week to write this post but I've been trying to catch up on things which has taken more energy and time than I thought :( So last Monday we picked the kitty cats up from the cattery calling in at the post depot in the way back so I could collect my parcel. When I saw the stamps on the front I knew it was from Lydia, and I couldn't wait to get home to open it :)

First of all she got me some skin and nail care things including several items from the brand Essence - I think this is a European brand although all be it one which isn't very widely available in the UK. I've had a few things from them before that if I remember rightly I bought in Spain - she kindly sent me some Essence Pocket Beauty Oil Control Papers, some Essence Mini Spa Eye and Face Pads which are shaped like cucumber slices I can't wait to try these on my eyes, especially since I think I'm getting a cold, and some Witch Clear Pore Gel which I can't wait to try, although thankfully at the moment my skin is a little dryer due to the sun but when it goes back to normal I will be giving this a try. She also enclosed a packet of Essence Nail Stickers - you can't see them too clearly in the pic above so here is a close up pic :)

She also sent me a few eye products an Essence Multi Action Mascara, and a Deborah Glitter Eyeliner in 03 Violet a gorgeous purple colour :)

The next product really excited me the Kiko Sun Mousse Eyeshadow in 04 Light Green - a goregous creamy mousse texture and a gorgeous colour - I've already tried this and it wears really well too x

The lovely Lydia was also kind enough to send me a load of nail polishes as per usual the purples aren't showing up to well but from left to right - Essence Colour & Go  - 20 Wild (purple) , Debby Colourplay 82, Essence Multi Dimensional Polish - 57 Love Of Pink, Deborah Sense Tech 100% Mat A060, and Essence Multi Dimensional - 55 Spot On (Mauve / Purple)

Swatches in same order - the purple and mauve again aren't showing up very accurately

and finally a little NOTD with Debby Colourplay 82, it's a much brighter but pale pink in real life - this is two coats x

I  just want to say a huge thank you to Lydia she really didn't need to send me anything but I am so happy that she did - thank you my love x

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Review and A Face of Yesterday

A few months I picked up Rimmels new Match Perfection Foundation during a Tesco shop.I chose the shade 100 Ivory. This foundation contains Rimmels exclusive "Smart-Tone" technology containing Blue Sapphire which allows it to adapt to an individuals skin tone and texture. It also contains an "Oxygen complex" which allows the skin to breathe.

The foundation comes in a glass pump action dispenser - which immediately gets a thumbs up from me - pump action dispensers are much easier to use and are a lot more hygienic. It has a thick lotion type texture
Photobucket
but it blends easily onto the skin both on top of bare skin, moisturiser and primer, I tried a few different methods of application and I have to say I found a sponge the easiest way to work with it. I found it gave a good medium coverage as you can see here - in my before picture you can see blemishes and redness

and afterwards even with no concealer the skin looks much clearer

I have to say I really like this foundation, it feels light on the skin and the coverage is good. It also seems to last quite well - I've removed it after at least 8hours and there has still been foundation on my skin. I also love the smell of this foundation it has a lovely fruity, fresh scent that I really enjoyed, and it had the added bonus of containing an SPF 15 - great for all year round protection. Would I buy this again - yes thankfully I don't need to because I won another bottle in an online competition ;) but I definitely would it has gone into my top 5 foundations list easily - it suits my skin well, and I love the natural polished look it leaves.
I purchased this foundation myself and this is just my opinion but if you want to try it you can get it from all Rimmel outlets for around £8.99 which certainly doesn't break the bank.

Since I took my foundation pics for you yesterday I thought I may as well show you the FOTD from my shopping / cinema trip with my bestie last night

My Prize From Lydia

Apologies for the lateness of this post but camera problems and a lack of laptop has meant that I have a huge build up of posts to do in the next week before I go away - so I really need to get myself into gear :) . Anyways a little while ago I won a follower giveaway on the lovely Lydia's blog - Huge thank you honey x - Here is a pic of the goodies that I got x
Photobucket

I received a lovely Pupa Diva's Lashes Maxi Volume Mascara - which is fab I am always looking to try new mascaras, I also received a lovely Deborah Lipliner in shade 199, and the matching Deborah Volume and Colour Lip Plumper Gloss. I was pretty scared when I first saw the colour of these - being the nude lip girl that I am - but wow maybe I should go darker - both of these products are a really wearable plum colour which I am picturing wearing with a grey sweater or vamped up for evening - gorgeous thanks Lydia :)

The star of this gorgeous bag of goodies (apart from a lovely letter from Lydia :) )
was a fabulous Pupa Smokey Eye Quad - these shadows are sooooo, smooth and pigmented - its love :)

Here is a couple of pics of a quick eye look I did with the Pupa quad - apologies that the camera has washed some of the colour, especially the highlighting out
