My Rather Large MAC Venomous Villains Haul and More (Pic Heavy)

OK you may wonder why I've started a haul post with a beautiful view of a sun terrace and the ocean, on a a gorgeous sunny day all be it taken on my camera phone, well a week past Monday whilst I was on my hols in Cyprus MAC Venomous Villains launched online. The picture is the view out of the lobby window whilst I was sitting on a computer for €6 an hour INDOORS waiting for the collection to launch on the UK site. Dedication I think so - I have to say I love Disney so the packaging automatically appealed, and some of the colours appeared to be right up my street - it really excited me more than any other MAC collection for a while. Thankfully we had someone looking after the house so I was able to place my order - I have to admit I got way more than I intended too - I trimmed my original wish list right down but when it came to the crunch I ended up buying all the things I'd originally wanted -  so on with the haul that I missed a rep meeting and an hour in the sun for - no swatches as you've probably seen so many already - if you'd like to see some though let me know :)

First of all my favourite collection and the one I bought the most from - Cruella :) A film I always found super stressful to watch (I always thought she'd get the puppies) but she was so fabulously nasty in it and I loved her hair :) The first thing I got from Cruella was one of the things I knew I needed - the Beauty Powder in Her Own Devices

The next two items I'd originally wanted but they were trimmed from my eventual list only to throw themselves into my basket ;) - a lipglass in Devilishly Stylish

and the nude lippy Innocence, Beware

Next up Evil Queen - the nasty one from Snow White of course, thank goodness for the dwarfs, again the Beauty Powder was my must have - Oh So Fair

That was originally going to be it but maybe it was the heat and the thought of such a gorgeous coral colour on tanned skin but Bite Of An Apple blush became mine too :)

Next up the newest of the villains from Princess and The Frog I have to admit I haven't seen this although I remember the story; this has recently been released on DVD so this probably explains why Disney wanted MAC to include such an obscure villain - the only thing that really intrigued me was the magically cool liquid powders, which I believe were originally in the Prescriptives line - I ordered Truth and Light and I have to say it's really pretty a gorgeous, pale peach glow :) I was also surprised at the size of the pot I was expecting it to be much smaller

The last things I ordered from VV's as it's now been called were from Maleficent - in other words the bad fairy from Sleeping Beauty, spinning wheels and all that - she really is scary even to look at - been green and with horns -eeek Anyways the must haves from this part of the collection were the nail polishes - I'd already bought Orly Space Cadet which was a dupe of Mean and Green and the only one I desperately wanted was Bad Fairy - my pics really don't do it justice it is a beaut a red, yellow and copper sparkle ideal as many people have said for the festive season :)

So that was my Venomous Villains haul but that wasn't all I ordered - first of all I added a lipstick from Fabulous Felines to my order Pet Me, Please - a lovely frosty pink nude

and I also got the Viva Glam Gaga Lipglass

I have to say that wasn't it though (feels slightly embarrassed!!) arriving in Larnaca airport on Sunday afternoon, after the horrors of check in, in nearly 30 degree heat we noticed, Mummy LouLou with horror in her eyes and me with lust, that Larnaca airports duty free had expanded dramatically Hello MAC Counter :)

It wasn't the biggest but it would have been wrong not to look - The prices were about the same but I have to say Maleficent I am sorry I ignored you - quite a few bits of VV had sold out but I had some time to play and swatch on the counter and  you guessed it I got some more things, first of all Briar Rose Beauty Powder -  I had considered this to be fair but everyone said it was easy to dupe - but at first swipe it was love - sorry the pic of the compact isn't too good but it is so shiny

Next another nail polish Formidable, again I heard it was dupeable but it looked so pretty with the fluro lighting shining on it, it had to be mine - again the pics aren't doing it justice x

So that was it then I spotted a little section on the counter with a couple of pigments and low and behold they had one I really fancied Lithe from Fabulous Felines - I skipped felines initially but I've seen the pigment in YT vids and so on and I have to say I liked it but it had gone from the UK site :( but being in super haul mode I got the last one and the last Formidable from Larnaca duty free- evil villainous laugh ;)

So that really is it probably my hugest MAC haul ever and I have to say my last for some time I am well and truly stocked up :) Next up some pics from my holiday then a holiday haul probably in 2 parts  ;) If you have any questions or if you would like any swatches please let me know xx

Birthday Pressies :)

Ok apologies in advance I know some people don't like present hauls but erm tough :) This post is basically to show my gratitude to my lovely friends and family for being so generous and buying me such lovely gifts :)
The first pressie came from my mum - I have to admit I knew she'd got these for me because I had to order them for her lol

I was a bit scared about this some people said they didn't like it but thankfully I do :)

I like the eyeshadow packaging but not enough to not bother depotting it lol - especially when it means I'll have 6 empties :), and I got a new 15 pan palette:)

I also got a whole load of bath and smelly things from friends, my mum and other relatives - here is just some of it - some Benefit, some Body Shop Lemon, some Bomb Cosmetics Raspberry Ice Cream Shower oh and there is a pop gloss tin there too :)

I got a Body Shop Cocoa Butter gift set from my godparents and a Sanctuary Gift Set from my bestie and loads of other bits I haven't pictured including Girl2Go, more Body Shop, and these gorgeous Elemis goodies also from my mummy :)

I also got lots of jewellery bits including a ring from my godparents which I love - you can't see too clearly here but it's all flowers, butterfly's, and dragonfly's :)

I also got this cute Top Shop bracelet from my bestie :)

and this super cute Lola Rose gift set from the cats via my mum lol - first of all here is the gift box

and the cute little bags all the items come in and the message in the box so cute :

I can't get a proper picture myself so I've found this one online - it really doesn't do the stone justice - it's blue sandstone and you can see all the sparkles inside it - it really looks like a starry sky - in my set I got the heart pendant on a suedette cord, the tumbled stone bracelet which fastens with a cute Chinese knot, and the matching tumble sterling silver earrings - gorgeous I love this so much - my first but hopefully not my last pieces of Lola Rose :)

I also got a few clothing and accessory bits including two tops from Top Shop


this super useful Jane Shilton bag from my godparents

it looks black in the first picture but as you can see in this one of the stud detailing it's a grey / taupe tone - its pleather but it super soft and light and I'll fit loads in it - love it :)

I also got these gorgeous Accessorize leather sandals from my godparents - I actually went shopping with my godmother a few weeks ago and she picked these up for me - we actually went in to look at jewellery but it was love at first sight - the daisies etc. are just sooo me


This is just a selection of some of the things that I got - everyone was so generous I also have a mountain of chocolate including multiple boxes of Thorntons yum! and some other bits I haven't included and of course some money (which is already spent two hauls to come - whoops) - I was well and truly spoilt by everyone and I have another pressie to come from my other bestie when her parents go to visit :D yeah to extended birthdays -thanks again for all the birthday wishes too you are all lovely xx Any questions on anything I got please let me know xx

MAC To The Beach and More Haul

OK I was going to start posting the bits I got yesterday but then my MAC order came and the general consensus of opinion was that's what you would like to see first :)
This month saw the release of a couple of new collections from MAC including the much anticipated summer collection To The Beach. I have to admit on first glance it didn't really appeal to me but the more I looked at it the more I actually wanted :)

The one thing I originally wanted from the collection was one of the kohl pencils in Rosemary and Thyme -a gorgeous olive green - I really like the packaging of these pencils a creamy white with a seaweed design in the colour of the pencil :)


Given my recent love of pale pink lipsticks after looking at the collection pics I also made another two purchases first of all I picked up Lazy Days lipstick.

A gorgeous pale pink in the lustre formulation this comes packaged in a dark orange bullet with a seashell design - I really like this actually and the orange packaging isn't as bad as I'd thought it would have been unlike Neo Sci Fi - it's actually a much darker orange


I also picked a lipglass for the collection - again a lovely pale pink - Easy Lounger


Pret a Papier also launched in the UK this month and on the whole I was a bit disappointed with this collection the lipsticks were particularly disappointing but I still picked up one item - the eyeshadow in tissueweight

This will make a lovely highlight colour - a shimmery cream /peach

Over the last month I've seen lots of praise given to the MAC greasepaint sticks from the Art Supplies collection - they were still on the site so I thought I'd try one and ordered Dirty - a blackened taupe -it feels really creamy and will be great for a smokey eye


I also ordered a few permanent things - cream colour base in Shell :)

and eyeshadows in Patina

and Black Tied

So they you have it a lovely MAC haul, I have to admit I have ordered another few bits because my nearest MAC counter didn't have To The Beach out yet - whoops! I have another couple of hauls to come so bleurgh to haul haters lol My first one will be my Top Shop Make Up haul, then maybe my Metro Centre haul, and then a blog sale haul:) Any questions on anything I bought please let me know x
