Nails Of The Day - Milani 847 Photo Flash

Hey my loves - I promised you a few hand and nail related posts this week and believe me they are coming, first up though a little nails of the day using one of the polishes I recently bought from US ebay.

I have to say I love Milani polishes and this one is no exception. In real life Photo Flash is bright multi dimensional red with lots and lots of glitter, however when the light hits it it turn to dark pink, tone and even a burgundy, what do you think - all these photos are taken in slightly different lights so you can see the differences
This is a really pretty colour which looking ahead would be great for festive season. Any questions please ask xx

Are You Still Having Trouble Commenting - Are Your Comments Down - This May Help!

Hi Guys
Like a lot of people I'm still having problems commenting on Blogger blogs but today I found a really interesting and helpful post from The Doll on Fashion if you have a blog on Blogger pretty please follow her instructions on how to let the poor people like me leave comments on your blog - Much Love x

Monday, Monday

Hey my loves hope you all had a fabulous weekend mine wasn't up to much if I'm been honest, so I've decided to start the week in a positive fashion. I've decided to call the end to my weekly goods and bads posts, to be honest I am sick of even looking at or thinking about negative things. Maybe this isn't just a blog change, maybe it's a lifestyle change - I really spend to much of my life think of bad things. Instead Monday's on my blog are going to be a positive thing, a look forward to the week ahead and what you can expect to see on my blog oover the next 7 days.
My main posts on LouLouLand this week are going to focus on our hands, I have a review of a fabulous hand care product coming up, and the first part in my change your nail polish series. I have no hauls planned, except if my H&M order ever comes <rollseyes> this week is focused on making money - I spent a lot of the weekend listing on ebay ( click here to see my listings) and there are still a few bits in my blog sale which must go!

Anyways I'm going to watch the tennis and in particular Rafa ;) I might even have some strawberries and cream, just a little you understand I'm still on my diet and dropped another pound this week :) So I hope you all have a good week, adn I hope you keep popping back to LouLouLand xxx

Bargain and Voucher Hauling - Primark, Poundland, Sleek and MUA Professional

Hi my loves - sorry this post is a lttle later than I planned but I felt so awful yesterday after my shopping trip that I really had trouble stringing a sentence together, pain is an awful thing :( Anyway I feel a bit better today, precisely no activity, lots of rest, and plenty of painkillers has brought me back to some semblance of reality. Anyways on with the show - on Thursday me and Mummy Lou popped to the Metro Centre it was just for a little look and really for me to use my birthday vouchers up - I don't know about you but I hate having vouchers floating around I need to spend them asap! So with a gift card in my possession we headed through the hallowed doors of Primark ;) I could have bought quite a few bits but I was good and focused on just using my voucher - first up I got this petrol blue dress

made of a chiffon type fabric, it features an attached vest on the top half and buttons which go as far as the waist, and it also features a tan plaited belt

I also popped a couple of rings into my basket - first up this turquoise effect stone in a large silver toned filigree setting

and this turquoise effect stone in a gold tone setting

I also picked some more of my favourite hair bobbles, this time in the brown / beige tone, they also do a bright pack too :)

That little lot came to just £20.50, just 50p more than my voucher - bargain :)

Next up Poundland and Pound World - I'm not snob you have to love a bit of pound shop hauling and I certainly did that first up two eyeshadows - the first is a Rimmel U Rock Cream Eyeshadow Trio in 700 Zest

and secondly a Me Me Me powder eyeshadow in Argent a gorgeous silver x

I also got this gorgeous purple satin flower hairband too I can't believe it was only £1!!

I also had a flick through the CD's and found a whole loads of the Now That's What I Call Music albums for just £1.00 each - it says they could potentially be reconditioned second albums but it's will worth a look, all of mine are from around 2002/3 cue lots of reminiscing lol

So that was my pound shop haul £6 for lots of goodies :) If you've managed to pick up a copy of this months Instyle magazine you'll know that there is a free £5.00 Body Shop gift card enclosed - well I spent mine on Thursday purchasing the detangling mist to go with the shampoo I reviewed from the Rainforest range -I've only managed to try it once but it smells gorgeous and so fruity

I only needed to pay £1 extra so another bargain :) Next up something that was technically free, well not really but it felt as though it was - a little while ago I placed a little New Look order and in the order I got a pair of earrings, but the minute I picked them up one fell to pieces so I complained via email and was told the best and cheapest way was to return them in store, so that's what I did - I love these so much I have a few pairs of similar ones but I love the daisy design

Next up something from Superdrug that my lovely Mummy bought me :) The Sleek Oh So Special Palette

I was under the impression that this wasn't going to be available in the UK but a few eagle eyed ladies have managed to spot it and I picked up the last one

It's a proper neutral palette with a mixture of mattes and shimmers - some swatches for you x

I am so happy to get this one I have fallen back in love with my Sleek palettes again they are soooo pigmented even if the price has gone up a little x

Finally a little parcel also from Superdrug and yes it's also on the budget theme - I got 2 eyeshadow palettes from the MUA Professional range, each featuring 12 eye shades. I got Heaven and Earth - the browns and neutrals

and Starry Night which features purples, lilacs, greys and silvers

I am going to feature these palettes in my upcoming MUA post in my Budget Beauty Series, so keep checking back for a review and some swatches x
So that was my little lot - any questions please let me know xx

Very Small Top Shop Haul x

Yes I know, another haul from me but it's just a tiny two items, and one freebie x Ever since I saw this post on Jo's blog I've been hankering after the Top Shop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels. I've checked in store and online religiously, and then last week it appeared - I placed a little order for it and something else Bad LouLou.
The swatches and pictures of the blusher made it look very peachy where as in real life I've found it to be much more of a coral pink shade

It's still super pretty though and I can see myself using it a lot especially during the summer months, if I haven't already missed summer that is ;)

Next up something I have to say you will either love or hate but given my love for Ms Hepburn and our furry feline friends I had to get this t-shirt

A few people I know think it's a bit freaky but I love it - It's bu Pets Rock and you can get all sorts of other animals and celebs :)

In my parcel I also got this absolutely huge tote bag for free - I know they did have an offer on but it was still a surprise when it came through as it had never mention anything on my invoice - still I am glad to have it x It's a great size for going to the Post Office or popping to the supermarket x

So that was my very tiny haul - I will be back tomorrow with my haulings from today's trip to the Metro Centre don't worry though it's nearly all voucher purchases and bargain buys. Any questions please ask xx

Another Day More Camera Play - Top Shop NOTD

Hey my loves I seem to be on a bit of a roll with these nails of the day posts but I have acquired so many gorgeous nail varnishes lately I just want to try them all out and at the same time get some camera practice. This polish came from my recent Top Shop haul. I first saw this on a couple of blogs and fell in love - I adore my blue polishes and 001 Pie In The Sky fell into my basket

I have to say the formula isn't the best, it was pretty thick and gloopy but it covered pretty well and I only needed to add a second coat to a couple of nails which I'd streaked

It's a beautiful ocean blue, and again a gorgeous shade for summer. My photos aren't too bad but I still seem to be getting a little bit of blurring on my extreme close ups which aren't visible on the viewfinder hmm practise makes perfect I guess. Any questions give me a yell x My next post will probably be a small haul, and then a haul with my birthday gift vouchers, if I feel well enough to go to the Metro Centre tomorrow x Wish me luck these four walls are driving me mad!!!

NOTD - A Work In Progress and An Update

Happy Monday everyone - I know I normally do a Goods and Bads post on a Monday but I've had a bit of a rubbishy weekend, so I thought I'd start the week with a bit of positivity :) As you know I got a new camera at the weekend so I thought I'd have a little play and do a nails of the day post. I'm still not a million percent happy with these pics so it's a bit of a work in progress. The colour I'm wearing today is from the Nails Inc bundle I purchased a few weeks ago. The polish I chose was Blenheim Terrace - a lovely peach / coral shade which I personally think would look much better with a tan x
Quite pretty don't you think x My posts this week are going to be predominantly me playing with my new camera but I am going to try and get at least one review up for you so stay tuned x Thanks for the follows xx

Enliven Your Skin With Herbalife Radiant C Facial Scrub Cleanser

Up until last year the only way I had heard of Herbalife was through their advertising on football shirts and adorning the chest of David Beckham, but last summer I was sent two of their body products to review (read my review here) and I subsequently learnt that Herbalife wasn't just about nutritional supplements, it was also about providing nutrition on the outside with a skin and body care line.
A little while ago the lovely people at Immediate PR sent me one of their facial skin care products. Herbalife have a number of skincare lines, but this was a product from their Radiant C range.
As the name suggests this line is infused with a high concentration of Vitamin C, which can stimulate collagen production and contains antioxidants which can protect the skin. This range is ideal for all year round as it is designed to re-energise and brighten, dull and dehydrated skin.

The product I was sent was the Radiant C Facial Scrub Cleanser. Packaged in a150ml squeezy tube, this is a daily face wash which contains Vitamin C, real citrus fruit extracts, and Jojoba and Beeswax beads, to gently cleanse and purify the skin

The product itself dispenses easily through the flip top cap with just a gentle squeeze. It is bright orange in colour and features tiny little white spherical beads

It has quite a thick gel texture, but when you add it to water it creates a gentle foam, with the jojoba and beeswax beads just visible

I have to say at this point the smell really comes into its own - it smells incredible, just like slightly tart fresh orange juice- gorgeous and so zingy. To use the product I massaged the gel all over my face with water you do need quite a bit of water to thin the texture down, it gave a good through cleanse, but unusually for a lot of scrubs it wasn't abrasive you could feel a very gentle action, with no scratchiness or discomfort. Because of the thickness of the gel it did take a bit of rinsing but it left lovely properly clean, glowing skin :)
I have to say I really liked this product predominantly due to the amazing smell. This is a great morning cleanser, you could even use it in the shower, the smell is so invigorating it would really wake you up. If your into really abrasive scrubs then this probably isn't for you, but if you want to have gently cleansed super fresh feeling skin then this might be the one. My only minor complaint is the thickness / stickiness of the gel, it does take a little bit of effort to break it down into a foam and it takes quite a bit of rinsing off. Herbalife Radiant C Facial Scrub Cleanser retails at £17.65 for 150ml. For stockist details please call 08450560606 or check out the Herbalife website for more details. Any questions please ask x

One Little Incident and Everything's Ruined

OK I did promise you a review next and I promise from the bottom of my little tootsies that I will do it tomorrow but If you follow me on twitter you'll know that on Friday I had a little bit of a crisis, as well as a really mean comment on You Tube, my beloved Fuji bridge camera bit the dust. I mentioned a few weeks ago that the battery compartment wouldn't close after one of the little lugs snapped off well on Friday the other one snapped, cue a very tearful LouLou - no camera = no blogging and no ebaying!!! So my mum agreed to pay half on a new cheaper camera. I went for this Samsung one, and a case and a 4GB card in the end ( I always seem to lose memory cards) and so far so good all the pics in this post were taken on it bit it's still a work in progress as I learn how to get the best from it. Ultimately I will try to get my Fuji fixed but I really can't be without a camera at the moment.
So why pray is every thing ruined - well once I'd paid for half a camera my monthly spends went a little through the roof so I did what any self respecting shopaholic would and went to Superdrug :)
I have to say nearly all the bits in my basket are to go towards my Budget Beauty Series so all is good I guess ;) No swatches on any of these products at the mo, they will be coming soon x
First up 2True - 3 products for just £4.99 automatically appealed  especially since my Godmother had slipped me £5 to treat myself :)so I added a few bits to my basket, including a purple and gold eyeshadow duo - No.9

a lipstick in No. 3 a gorgeous shimmery pink / mauve

and the nails varnish I've seen on a lot of blogs the Chanel Paradoxal dupe No.46

I also got another Beauty UK lipstick in No3 Snob, a lovely pink shade

I don't know what it is lately but every time you go to a till your always offered something extra or something that's discounted, well this time it was a full size Original Source Tea Tree and Lemon Shower Gel for just 89p I have to say this smells gorgeous so fresh and zingy

I also popped into Home Bargains for some Pepsi Max - 39p a bottle!!! as opposed to £1 plus everywhere else and I popped a few beauty bits into my basket - including some Scunci Bobby Pins

and these two interesting packets - first up a Rose and Shea Hand Pack -Made in Korea I think what this is, is gloves that are impregnated with collagen and vitamins, you put them on for 20 minutes and your hands are left feeling super soft -  my hands are awfully dry at the moment so I can't wait to try these out.

I also got a packet called Straight Stuff Hair Repairing Kit. You get 3 treatments in each pack - each treatment basically contains 2 sachets, one wheatgerm conditioner, and one straightening pack which contains avocado and coconut oil. I always love trying new things and can't wait to give these ago, especially since each packet was less than a £1!!
So that's it my spending diet is officially screwed for another month, hmm and I'm going to the Metro Centre next week oh hell ! I am going to try and keep myself reigned in -I never expected my camera to break completely why do we always get unexpected expenditure- grr. Any questions please let me know xx
