I am so, so behind this week - hence your going to get two posts today from me and the first of which is a late monthly empties post x As predicted I've beaten every month so far this year and I finished a massive 17 items

Total  - 17 Items

In reality I probably finished slightly more than this by using up a few sample sized sachets. I was good though and didn't count them, instead I only counted full sized items and good sized sample bottles.

1 Dove Summer Glow Beauty Body Lotion - Medium To Dark Skin - 250ml

This is probably my favourite ever gradual tanner. It has a lovely fresh, fruity type smell and it loves the skin soft and over the course of a few days with a lovely golden glow. I believe the packaging has changed but I will definitely buy this again just as soon as I've finished the disgusting gradual tanner I'm using at the minute.

2. Dr Bronners Magic Soap 18 in 1 Hemp Eucalyptus Pure Castile Soap - 59ml

The first product of the month from a beauty box. I used this as a bath and shower product when I got home from my holidays to fight off the dreaded in flight cold. The foam wasn't amazing probably because of the natural ingredients but I really enjoyed using it and I especially enjoyed the warming eucalyptus fragrance which is really great at this time of year. I also used a couple of sachets of this up in the citrus and unscented versions whilst I was away.

3. Calypso Dry Oil Body And Scalp Clear Protection 30 High - 250ml

Believe it or not I think this bargain basement sun protection spray is pretty good. Containing both UVA and UVB filters, this product is a clear dry oil spray, that has a slight coconut fragrance. You can use this on both the hair and the body. Although I swear by Ultrasun, I still took this with me to finish off the bottle. It was great for on the go and I actually used it on my scalp particularly where my parting is during the day. I will definitely buy this again for using in the UK providing we get a summer next year

4. Aveda Smooth Infusion Shampoo - 10ml

Another mini, another beauty box sample this was a smoothing and anti frizz shampoo from Aveda, I uses to use Aveda Shampure and Madder Root shampoo years ago, and I was always really impressed by the quality if not the price. I managed about 3 washes out of this tube which was pretty good going - a little definitely went a long way. It was okay but I didn't notice any real difference understandable I guess with such high humidity.

5, 6 and 7. Zhuzh The Tan Accelerator Swipe - 10ml x 3

Ah the quest for a suntan, I've used the Zhuzh Tan Accelerator products for quite a few years now and I really do think they make a difference. This time I finished 3 of the swipes. Basically what these are, are individually packaged wipes infused with the Zhuzh solution. All you do is rub them all over your self before you go out in the sun. You still need to use SPF alongside them but they certainly help keep the skin moisturised.

8. Zhuzh The Tan Accelerator - Zhuzhette - 100ml

This is the spray version of the Zhuzh solution, you use it in exactly the same way as the wipes, but I find this easier for reapplying and I just gave a quick spray every hour or so, The smell of this to me screams summer.

9. Superdrug Strawberry And Raspberry Shower Gel - 75ml

Speaking of products that scream summer, this certainly does. It smells like a mixture of strawberry and raspberry jam mixed together. I was soooo tempted to to lick my arms but I resisted. If you like super sweet fruity shower products then you need this in your life.

10. Nair Hair Removal Cream - 30ml

As my mum says you can't have a dark hair in one place but not in others. This was a sachet that I used up on holiday to erm deal with a bit of regrowth and a few strays - not glamorous but it does the job.

11. Bioderma Sebium H2O Solution Micellaire - 20ml

Yeah my first Bioderma experience courtesy of a Birchbox. I believe that this is the oily skin version but despite the sunshine and the heat this worked perfectly on my skin with no burning and no irritation bar a tiny bit of watering when I used it on my eyes - verdict? pretty good :)

12. Superdrug Nourishing Nail Polish Remover Pads Acetone Free - 20 Pads

My favourite nail polish remover pads -  a little bit thin and a bit oily but they do the job super quickly and simply and they are much easier than taking a bottle with you.

13. Elemis Devils Mint Body Scrub - 20ml

I love Elemis but this didn't wow me I wasn't a big fan of the smell, it had a sort of herbal kick to it, not the mint that I was expecting. It did the job but I probably wouldn't repurchase.

14. SunBelievable Expert Tan Accelerate Me Tan Accelerator - 100ml

Another tan accelerator :) A few people recommended this product and raved about it so again I thought I'd give it a go. It was basically a cooling, orange gel that you applied to the face and body every day starting 10 days prior to sun exposure, and you can also use it as an after sun.  It was a tiny bit stick but I definitely think that using this and the Zhuzh made a real difference to the depth of my tan and it's something I'd definitely consider repurchasing.

15. Institut Esthederm Bronze Repair Anti-Wrinkle Tanning Cream - Normal To Strong Sun - 20ml

This is another beauty box item. I'd been using this in the UK as a facial protector. From what I gather this brand doesn't believe in the conventional SPF markers but in it's simplest terms it's an SPF for the face. I was wary using this at first but my face didn't burn and it actually developed quite a bit of colour which is rare as I normally keep my face blocked from the sun. I the used the majority of it in the UK but I did use it up on my last day when my Ultrasun Face 30 was packed away (hence the empty picture is taken on a sun lounger) and I have to say I was majorly impressed - despite my scepticism it did the job.

16. Primark Beauty Oil Balancing Cleansing Wipes With Tea Tree - 25 Wipes

I seem to finish a packet of these pretty  much every month and October was no different. These were a really holiday essential for me, for cleaning my hands on the beach and on the flights and just freshening up - a real essential for a bargain price.

17. Boots Moisturising Nail Polish Remover Pads - 15 Pads

Do you know when you get to the airport and start wondering if you've packed the right things, and the right amount of product. Well that happened to me so I packet some emergency nail polish remover pads up. They were pretty similar these were probably a little but thinner but for the price I prefer the Superdrug ones because you get more.

So they were my October empties. I'm going to keep at it in November, I really don't think that I'm going to finish 17 items again but I'm going to give it my best shot. Have you done an empties post recently? leave me a comment and let me know x
