Yeah I lost a pound this week, which means I've lost 18lbs since starting my Thinking Slimmer journey 12 weeks ago. Last week was like pretty much any other since I started. I watched what I ate and had a few treats but I've probably have done a lot more walking than I normally would. I've paid the price for it physically and I've spent the last couple of days almost stationary and unable to walk or move without pain, but it seems to have done the trick. The fact that I can't do a lot of activity has always been a barrier to my weight loss but I'm gradually starting to change the way that I think about it. Okay I can't go out running or be the gym bunny that believe it or not I was about 16 year ago but I can do little things that might help make the difference, a little bit of gentle yoga (I use this DVD excellent if your movement and energy's limited), a little bit of housework, a couple of minutes walk about the block, and trying to go out properly once a week can all hopefully make a difference. It's all a part of my illness and coping with it I guess, thinking about and focusing on what I can do, instead of what I can't.
It's officially 48 days to my holiday's now and I'm convinced that I will be able to lose a bit more weight before I brave all in my new cossie on the beach :) I also got my hospital appointment through this morning for the 18th September and I'm hoping to lose a little bit more before I see my consultant. All this means that I'm feeling more motivated and determined than ever. It's taking it's time but the weight is coming off. I'm still listening to my Slim, Fit and Chill Pods every night and I really think that they are helping me see this whole shebang in a new light. Thanks as per usual for all your support I really do appreciate it x For more information on the Thinking Slimmer system please check out their website here x
