Sharing The Love In Association With Money Supermarket And A Giveaway

Happy Valentines Day My Loves :)

Even if your single like me I hope you've had a lovely day and that you've found a way to spoil yourself rotten. If you haven't I hope that I can help in some way :)

I was recently contacted by the lovely people at Money Supermarket, one of my favourite favourite money saving websites and asked if I would like to take part in their "What Could You Do With £20? competition.
I'm not a huge lover of blogger competitions but this one really appealed to me, and I hope it will to you too.

Money Supermarket recently carried out a little experiment to give some people the feel good factor, by giving out £20 to customers in a dry cleaners, under the pretence that they'd left the money in their clothing - you can see the video here.

This experiment shows that it's the little things and little gestures in life that make people happy, and give us the feel good factor. So where do I come in? well the super generous people at Money Supermarket kindly sent me £20 to spend anyway I pleased, just so long as it had it the feel good factor. There are lots of bloggers taking part in this competition and the blogger that spends the money in the best and most creative way wins £200. I'm not too bothered about winning but I wanted to take the opportunity to share the love, and to make as many people happy as I could so this is how I spent my £20 :)

There is one person in my life at the moment that needs cheering up more than anyone else and that's my beloved godmother. She's recently came out of hospital again after being in for a fortnight for pneumonia and problem relating to her radiotherapy treatment and I thought that the best way to cheer her up was with a visit that cost nothing, and with a gorgeous bunch of brightly coloured tulips which on special at £4.00 in Tesco.

She really loved them and in fact she already had a bunch from another relative and was really pleased to get another one to place in another spot in her lounge. Understandably she didn't wanted to be photographed as she's still being tube fed so I thought I'd post a picture of her and my godfather in happier times :)

Okay £16 left and still 3 people to share the love with. Understandably the next person on the list was Mummy Lou, I've had a really bad few weeks health wise and as per usual she's been my rock. I decided to treat her to a bunch of the same gorgeous tulips that I got my godmother.

For just £4 how could these gorgeous flowers, in such bright colours not give anyone the feel good factor. The only trouble is my kitty cats have an amazing fascination with cut flowers and plants, so the leaves are now looking, well a little chewed, so I guess I've given them the feel good factor too, here's Charlie enjoying a leaf ;)

So £12 remaining and since I've had such a bad time recently I thought I get something to treat myself after all the person that you should love the most is yourself. Since it Valentines Day, hearts are a plenty on the high street and I love kitsch, and pretty looking make up so I bought myself something that I mentioned yesterdays post - the Marks and Spencer Limited Collection Blusher in Pink Mix

What's not too love about this blush even the packaging gives me the feel good factor, and the inside is almost too pretty to use, with the different shades of embossed hearts, that when mixed together produce a gorgeous shimmery pink highlighting blush

.Gorgeous isn't it and at only £6.00 it's a great little treat for yourself or for someone else. Speaking of which the final person that I wanted to share the love with and give the feel good factor is one of you guys. I also picked up another one of these blushers for £6 and as a Valentine's Day treat I'm giving one of my lucky followers the chance to win one.

All you need to do is be a follower of my blog via GFC or Bloglovin, for an extra entry you can follow me on twitter, and for another extra entry you can follow Money Supermarket on twitter. This giveaway is open worldwide, and will close on 21st February, and winners will be chosen via rafflecopter.

I have to say I've really enjoyed this task and I spent exactly £20, yes it's pretty easy to make yourself feel better by buying yourself something and I do love my blusher lots, but you get just as much if not more of the feel good factor by making somebody else smile, knowing that you've made someone else happy is one the best feelings in the world, so I'm challenging you to give someone the feel good factor this week, remember it's often the little things that mean the most, liking making someone a meal or running them a nice bath - come on guys share the love xx If you have any questions on the competition, the giveaway or any of my buys please leave me a comment xx

  1. Aww Lou - you're such a lovely one. I've seen a couple of people do this promo but you're the only one who used the money to spoil those who need it around her. I just love that about you. Seeing your mum and godmother looking so happy is just so great :) you're very special and they're as lucky to have you as you are to have them xxx
